  • I use the Evernote app for mine. Makes searching through them easy.
  • If you have an iPad, then the scanner pro app is the way to go imho.
If not , the cloud storage taking pics from your phone would probably be the other way . Imho also

You can get a combined scanner/printer/photo-copier for around £35.

I think almost all consumer printers come with a scanner built in these days, yeah I doubt they're suitable for high-end photography and imaging, but for general household and home office stuff my £30 Epson unit has been fine.

One thing though - if buying a printer, it's worth checking you can get one which will take the cheap, generic/unbranded cartridges, oh a look for duplex printing!

Should I buy a scanner, or will photos suffice?
    Have you tried photographing them?
  • If you have an Android mobile, you can 'scan' using the phone's camera and upload directly to your Google Drive as a pdf.

Go to add a widget to your home screen (or in a folder) and scroll to Drive widgets and select the Scan widget. You will then be prompted to choose a Google account, and specify or create a folder in your Drive.

Using it is easy - just hit the button, take a pic and crop as required. You can rename it and the pdf will upload when connected to wifi.

This. I hate working from electronic recipes. I like a nice, easy to read, piece of paper that I can spill things on. :D
