Just preparing to contest a billing start figure for the water meter at a property.
If anyone has a bill to hand can you advise roughly what a cubic meter of water costs please.

A ton of water ie) 1000 litres - costs about £3 from a tap and up to 1000 times that from bottles !!0

^ thanks. I presume the waste water charge gets added to that automatically which brings it up to the £3 area?0

Indeed it does, assuming that you don't have a septic tank0

It depends who supplies the water and sewerage - sometimes different companies.
E.G. Portsmouth Water charges 73p for a cubic metre + £29pa standing charge. South West water charges £1.84 for a cubic metre + £53pa standing charge.0 -
Interesting — that’s a good deal for people in Portsmouth.
Yorkshire do handle the sewage (ew) here so it looks like they are trying to overcharge by about £13. Worth an email. Cheers0 -
