I hate this nw category - I keep getting rap songs which put the rap in rap. Currently got something with a guitar in it which is so nice to hear - not had anything I want to tip, or even watch yet!

also How come I'm on 88.47% but only ranked 137, and only on 2 stars

<edit> just got to 100 traks, and shot up to 3 stars and ranked 34 currently. Woo hoo </edit>

I quite like the new category, gives it a bit more variety as the other scouting room seemed to have the same kind of music.

Knew that they'd reduce the price sooner or later though ;).

I discovered how the tips work. You earn a tip every few ratings in the scout room. You can use the tips to 'tip' the artists you have added to your watch list. To tip them,go into the artists on the watchlist section and there will be the tip option. You can rehear the song and read about the artist.
To add someone to the watchlist, wait till you submit the rating and close the comment window and an option appears under the artist and track name.
Im going to try to cash out as soon as I reach the withdrawall limit and see wether it is worth doing.
I've done that with pay to clicks before and it has been a good way to assess how worthwhile it is.

I've reviewed 31 tracks and earned 93p. I don't quite understand: do the earnings increase according to how high is a rating?
If it is so, I cannot possibly rate some of the songs high, or instrumentals, because they give me a headache :D
  • my current Scout Rating is 01AwcAX0DwkfwAAAACAAAAAAAAAAA:.gif (3)
my current Scout Position is 14
my Scouting Accuracy is 93.13 %
    I have reviewed 201 tracks
I have earned £18.04 from Scouting
A Slicethepie Scout since Nov 2007

wooohooo to the above my scout position is 14 *dances* :T

I do love the new genre but i agree i keep getting so many rap and hip hop tunes which really aren't my thing and they all sound the same

However it amuses me that one minute i'll be listening to a mellow steady country folk song and then i'll be listening to some pounding euro pop

I read on the forums that the reason the prices are lower is due to the amount of people joining, the slice the pie forums are a good way to see what artists think (its not as good as this forum lol) :j

lilly of the valley *your earnings do increase by the amount of stars you have, when you go into a new scout room at the bottom of the page it tells you what you can earn in each scout room according to what star level you are on
  • do you find you get a run of either rap.. or foreign lanuage ones that you can not understand the lyrics ?

I find i get a few foreign ones in one go and itse difficult to review them so i write on how the song made me efeel the melody and the rythmn etc but i always state that im unable to comment on the lyrics because they are in a different language to my own :D

ys i allways say that i wish i could understand the lyrics....and then i go on and say about the tone of the vocals.... and that you can hear the emotion and sincerity etc......

most of the good foreign lanuage tracks are from italy....... ooooo no wonder i think their voices are warm with a seductive. sound ....:D

how many tracks is everyone reviewing on average a day ? i am onyl doing a few to be honest but i now have £16.88.....going to try and do a few more a day to boast my money up ready for christmas

I've had about 4 or 5 foreign language tracks so far, and you're right they're normally Italian. It does make it difficult to review them but I add a comment about the language barrier and try to be as constructive as possible on the rest of the track.

Getting fed up with Hip Hop/Rap - it's not my scene at all and I find it really hard to review it.

Originally before the rate went down I was aiming for £5 - 6 a day. Now I reckon it's more like £2 - 3 a day, so between 20 - 30 tracks a day. The money is building up in my paypal account as an ebay xmas fund.
:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j

I'm only doing a few too, i'm on one star still so 3p a track will take some building up.
  • I'm the same any money i earn is my ebay fund so i dont spend more of my own money :-)

I try to rate every day but i just cant but i am not going to aim for £3.00 a day if i can just by spending some time after work doing it
