Is anyone else having trouble writing reviews now? Most of the songs are far too similiar and I feel like I say saying the same thing over and over. Can't wait for the change - I don't mind a bit of indie but not when it all sounds the same. And how do you write a review for the screamo songs when you can't stand them (that's my case)? Would I lose marks if I skip them, because that's what I've been doing because I feel I can't give a review that's to the genre.0

You can withdraw to your Paypal account. Minimum withdrawal is £5. So you'll have to do some reviewing before you can get the money. Once you're in your account, go to account details. There will be a subfolder of Withdrawal (Paypal). Click on it and enter the revelvant information - how much you want to withdraw, email address (this should be the one you have with Paypal).
On another note, I have just seen I have now a scout rating of 2 stars. Woo hoo! I am proud of myself as I have only been there since Saturday and didn't do any reviews at all on Sunday.0 -

I find it's the vocals that all sound the same -I'll write this in the review (phrases like 'familiar sounding')! I'll often write in the review if it's not my cup of tea (and I must admit most of this genre isn't). After all, at least the artist can then take that into account when reading the review/rating I've given them. I try to remain constructive and find positive and negative elements for each track.
I must be doing something right as I got a 2 star rating after only 30 reviews. I'm now up to 92 reviews, but still on 2 stars. I can't get facebook to load (GGRR ), so not sure what my position/accuracy is at the moment.
I'm still finding the crib sheet I created (see previous post) really useful. It stops you from writing the same thing over and over again, because I've gathered several terms/phrases that mean the same thing (i.e. upbeat, fast pace, high energy, quick tempo etc).
My favourite track so far has to be:

(very questionable, crude lyrics and not for the prudish)! I couldn't believe what I was hearing when I first listened. I actually quite like the track now and have added it to my watch list, and tipped them! It's certainly different!:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
If you go up a star level can you then go back down again?0

I seem to remember reading on the STP forums that you can go up and down. This would be logical anyway, because otherwise once you've reached 4 stars you could just write a load of rubbish. Also it depends on your accuracy, so if you become less accurate I would assume this will then have a negative effect on your star rating too.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0 -
I usually have a good listen and comment on particular aspects of the song for instance if the lyrics are saying something ridiculous or if the singer is way out of tune. That helps with what to say about the samey ones.
My worst to listen to are the instrument only tracks which are sometimes so dull .
Dont forget to vote in the showcase and keep a fiver in hand to buy a backstage pass if your favourite artist manages to get the promised funding.
I have voted for one in the singer songwriter and they ask, will you buy one (you dont have to say yes) but all the promises are what will get that person the funding for their album. The backstage passes are not actually buyable until the showcase is finished so even if you say yes,you cant buy it till the voting is finished.0 -
SO ANNOYING! I've just gone on to do a bit more scouting, and the tracks it keeps giving me stops at 59 and 52 secs so I can't review them. DOH! I see several others on the STP forums has the same problem. I guess I'll have to sit and wait for the scout room to end.:T*Thanks to all who posts comps * :j0

hi. dont know how we managed the 3 stars we took ages to get 2 and was shocked to see three. all we do is rate fairly even if you dont like it someone will and we also make sure each review is 4 lines +long.
we have done well over 300 reviews though to get the three stars so i dont know if that has anything to do with it and have an accuraccy of 88%. just keep going and it suddenly happens. the great thing is we now have £40 in there so going well to the new tv. then after that its going to be make the same to throw at dbts. at this rate i can clear loads of debt soon wich will be great. (either that or ill be pregnant and be able to get my dream pram lol)back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed :beer:0 -
I've just tried to log on and it says "there are currently no scout rooms available", anyone else get this?0

The scout room has finished and the next one apparently starts on thursday according to the forum there.
Its quite nice to be given a day off from it really. There should be an all genres and a UK rock arena opening ,so a bit more variety. I assume we can begin scouting as soon as they are open.0
