    How do i get to the next star?

    I'm doing descriptive and informative reviews and i'm still not moving from the first star :(.

    Lifted from their forums:
    This is what it says in FAQs. Seems to gain five stars you've got to be successful with one of your tips.

    Who decides which Scouts earn more than others for their reviews?
    There are sophisticated algorithms on the site that combine a number of factors to determine how high your personal Scout rating is, these include:

    evaluating how close you rate each track compared with the average score of all other people who have rated that track. The better you are at judging this, the higher your rating will rise;
    a Scout must leave full and meaningful feedback to improve their Scout rating;
    the more active you are as a Scout, the higher your Scout rating will become;
    finally, to become a 5 star Scout you must successfully tip an artist in the Scout Room.

    What are these "tips" I keep seeing mentioned?
    Again, lifted from their forums:
    Go to your watch list, it gives you an option to tip the ones your interested in there.

    When you've finished rating a track, and you click 'close' below where you click 'play next track' is 'Add track to watchlist', so, if you listen to a track you like, place it in your watchlist, and then when you've earned a 'tip', you can choose to tip an artist. You should get an email every time you earn a tip. They recommend you use your tips before they expire, and they expire once the scout room closes (after so many reviews per track). HTH.

    If you watch your Scouting Profile, it tells you how many more reviews you need to earn your next tip.
    One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

    Hey guys, can someone give me some advice please. I'm on the dole ok and I've earned a bit of money on this site (I haven't cashed it out) and I was wondering if I need to declare it. (I think I do) Or if I can earn up to so much? I don't want to be done for benefit fraud or anything like that. Thanks.

    I know on income support you can earn up to £20 without it affecting your benefit.

    Babes21 to go up to the second star your accuracy needs to be correct based on what other scouts rate
    so for example you rate a song a 3 but 90 percent of scouts rate the track 7 your accuracy wouldnt be very good

    So the more often that you rate a track and your rating matches the general scout population the more chance you have of going up in stars

    They say generally rate anywhere between 4 and 7

    but this kind of defeats the object of giving across your own opinions, but i read someone explaining about accuracy on the slice the pie forums
  • If i've read it right it looks like theres a change of rooms on Thursday.
    Would be a relief, don't know how much more Indie i can take.
    The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter :(
