I think that's the problem I'm having, there is so much average stuff I don't know what to say.

well i am only telling then my view on the song and vocals :rolleyes:

the thing is i am not going to lie and say they are good, that is giving them false hope so to speak.....

but amongst all the bad ones,, there are some cracking bands...... grinder and sanction springs to mind....... but that is my type of music...

I reached two stars after only 31 reviews. I think its to do with the quality of your review and your 'accuracy', that is how close you are ith your ratings to what other reviewers have given.

Reviews should be about 2-3 sentences. And, if you don't like a band you still need to be constructive. If the recording is of awful quality, so you can't listen to the song, then thats something worth pointing out. Whether you think they have a commercial sound. What you think of the beat, bassline, riffs, etc, etc. They need something other than 'i do/don't like it'.

I had the Eminem one earlier I think he was rapping about his girlfriend tho, some american guys call there Mrs Ma......I think. It was alot similar to Eminem's 'kim' which of course I told him;)
This site is a lot better than waiting from the drip feed of daily clicks.

I am having fun doing it and in 5 days, might befor I haven't slept ....(only kiddin';) ) I've got nearly £12, had some transferred to paypal which arrived soundly within a few days:D
I am on two stars but I am finding it really hard to write comments for some of the music. Some comments are easy if the music is really awful (I had one europop sounding one about some guy who hated midgets and wanted to kick them :eek:) and some are great songs (about six out of over 100:rolleyes: ) but there are ones that are not awful but are not great they are just 'same' sounding and I struggle to find a valid reason to critisise them. I have had a few today and last night who sounded highly influenced by Oasis......I actually used to like Indie pop music.......but that was indie by good bands just before they sold out........this is just getting mundane....and that's what I keep writing on the reviews.....:cool:

Joshua Goodman is the best one I've found so far, I've listened to two from him and rated them 10 and 9.

Loving this site thanks OP, horrible music in general but quite liked Gaucho. Haven't come across the other good ones that have been mentioned yet, but have only 'done' 20 so far.

Just found some new info,

if you change your country to check your rating they can take stars off you. The other way to check your rating (for accuracy) for some reason is only on facebook site.

Type slicethepie into the facebook search and you will get an application called 'scout profile', the profile includes your rating.

I'v e only been signed up for a couple of days and not had much opportunity to do much reviews. I've done 20 so far, so earned £1 and am really enjoying it.....even if it didnt pay I would still do this! I'm only a 1 star at the moment.

some bands are terrible, but I still review them and point out what they can improve on and what parts were bad etc.

i am on 2 stars.... got £10 in the kitty...was going to cash it out... but might wait until i get a bit more.....my accuracy is 80% so i need to improve that to increase my stars i think....

even though there is some naff music.... well alot actually..... i am still injoying it.....hubby's band is thinking about the idea of putting a couple of their tracks on there..... but as they have allready got 4 cds for sale locally dont know what thei implications are when it comes to the % thing on albums sales etc..... also send a link to a few young bands that i know... but i have recommended that they scout first.... and really read the t & c's when to comes to putting hteir own tracks on there....

if you read the forums on there.. some of the bands hate getting bad reviews...lol...and dont take too kindly to the critics..... but hat if theiy are naff they are naff...... nothing will change that.....oh yes there is... just stop singing and playing:D
