help to buy isa bonus

hello ! can anyone share their experience with me about there completion and recieving help to buy bonus at the end ?
im about half way through buying my property and eventually i will closing my help to buy isa
i didnt open this account with the intention of saving for a deposit , i already have my deposit , 10k was put into a standard bank account , 1000 was put down to open the account from that , 200 has been coming out of the standard account and going across to the help to buy isa for about 18 months now
how soon after completion do you get your bonus ?
as i already have my deposit as mentioned above , what can the bonus be used for ? there is alot of information out there about the isa itself , not alot of info regarding the actual bonus and what people use it for

The solicitor claims the HTB ISA bonus using your closure statement and uses the money towards completion.
