Thank you Chyrstal and doingitanyway - I am feeling anything but positive to be honest but am trying hard to keep focused.
Have had some good news, I have been overpaying on our water account so have had a letter from them to say my monthly payment will halve from Feb. I have also managed another £10 withdrawal from SB and a £3.35 refund for a late train - even though it's a small amount I'm really pleased about this one on principle as the company rejected my claim initially even though I was delayed by 50 minutes on a 25 minute journeyWhen I disputed the rejection they paid out instantly so it makes me think they were just trying their luck.
I have paid this straight off the cc, along with 4p I found whilst walking around recently (four individual pennies - trying to tell myself this must mean some imminent good luck!). I am trying to reinforce in my mind that small amounts like this really do make all the difference.
Ex-OH is keen to push forward with getting the house on the market - which I understand as currently I am still living there and he has moved out - so I need to find out whether I would be able to by him out. The mortgage is relatively small but the house had definitely increased in value since we bought it - I think by around £20k but he thinks nearer £50k (!) so a lot will depend on the valuations we get. Still feel very torn over what to do, it's hard to separate what is a logical decision and what is emotional.Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
Made a £20 payment to a couple of the accounts this morning, cannot wait for payday next week. Just claimed my single person council tax discount which I was reminded of at the weekend so that will be a help as well once that goes through.
Having the house valued this week so will have some thinking to do.
Hope anyone reading is well xBarclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0
