Thanks SavingHolmes, I think you're right. I'm in that classic spiral at the moment of thinking "oh it's not too bad, you only live once so may as well spend it" etc then being cross with myself afterwards! Last time I was motivated by hitting rock bottom so having no real alternative but to deal with things, this time I need to find something positive to drive me on - a carrot rather than a stick.

I started re-reading my old diary and it was an eye opener to see how motivated I was!

Just redeemed £5 from my old Swagbucks account which has cheered me up disproportionately :rotfl:

Thanks both :) SH I have subscribed to your diary and read back, it's inspirational so thank you :)

Been having a play on a debt repayment app and even an extra £50 a month paid off will bring my DFD forward by 7 months. That has really given me a boost.

Other major thing to report today is I have renewed our mortgage as the fixed rate came to an end last month. This will save us £100 a month :A:A

Had a fairly productive day but trying to muster the energy for one final push so thought a to-do list might help (everyone loves a list :p)
    • Run books/cds etc through Ziffit
    • Complete application form
    • Send Air BnB link
    • 5 x Ebay listings (ohhhhh I loathe this task!!)
    • Find certificate
    • Ironing

Just reading that makes me want a nap :rotfl: How I used to find the motivation to sit and do free scratchcards, reviews, surveys etc etc baffles me! I feel old and tired :rotfl:

Great news on the mortgage reduction - are you going to use that money to pay off CC or your mortgage?

Have had a bit of a turbulent few months for various reasons but am still here. Haven't made much inroad into the debt but long story short, I'm in a position now where I will need to either try to take over the mortgage on my own (unsure how feasible this is) or sell up and move on. There is enough equity in the house to clear all the debts but I don't want to end up back at square one saving for a deposit etc so really need to get this debt gone.

Managed to redeem £20 from Swagbucks over the weekend which I'm really pleased about (although it drained the life out of me :rotfl:) and have redone my budget so I know where I am going forward.

    Onwards and upwards.
