Yes, you can browse the internet with Amazon fire stick. The Silk Browser allows you to surf the web on your FireStick without the need for a mouse or keyboard attached. Along with Kodi, Netflix, and VPN, a web browser is one of the first apps you should install on your Fire Stick.

I beg to differ.
Just because you can doesn't mean you should. I would argue its a "there if all other options fail" thing - if your laptop/PC is dead and your phone's out of juice then yeah okay as a stop-gap. But long term? Impractical IMO.

There might be some use for video or full-screen YouTube if you don't use the separate app but beyond that...

Current firesticks are very good value for money,forget Kodi its to slow,learn how to download apks direct to stick.
More tv than u can handle.

BUT......do not forget you still need broadband to get a wifi connection for the stick.


Alexa seems to not inderstand some accents (a bit fundamental!) but otherwise works well. Some of the text is a bit small to read easily on my tv.


Currently has only been £25 on Amazon's site.


Not having a smart TV I purchased just to see Premier sports on tv rather than on small tablet using localcast. That works very well.



Would not recommend using it as a browser. Too slow, browsers are cut down versions, not as easy to use. Far better to use a more 'traditional' device such as PC or tablet.
