got my magic eye from Argos for about £14.99
Wouldn't it be worth using a RF video sender - the type with built in Remote Control extender to control the box?, they only cost between £20 - £30 and can be fitted by anybody in about 5 mins.
Instead of running cables around the room, and lifting carpets and floorboards for the conventional 'Magic Eyes' surely it would be worth a few extra ££'s and far easier and tidy to use the wireless method?.
I bought a 2nd Sky remote on Ebay and now use one of these video senders to transmit the video and audio from the Sky box to the TV upstairs without the need for an additional box and the remote changes channel using the same unit, just as if I was in the same room as the receiver.0 -
yes they are good those rf senders, mine just plugs in by scart at the back and its conected in 5 mins,no wires.i got mine cheap on price-droptv i think i only paid £28 for mine and its great.0

I phoned up saying I wanted to cancel as I wasnt happy about the Sky+ offer only being available to new customers. I was offered the refurb box for £45.
I was informed that the refurb boxes had been used for instore demos but have 12 month guarantee.
Surprising what you can get if you want to cancel, I have previously had my sub reduced for 3 months when I said I couldnt afford to continue!!0 -
So whats the best and cheapest phone number to call to get this deal for £49 or even the £99 at a push as i have had sky from day one before it was digital and again from day one when it was digital.
So have been with them a very long time but i stop them about a year and half ago as i went travelling and did not require sky while away,i want to in a way start them again but they cost a fortune and im not even sure if i miss them that much.
I have been wanting this sky+ for sometime now and im not sure how i would stand in getting one cheap as i have been with sky before so not really a new customer but then not been with them for a year and half.
Also i need to know what package i would need and cost as of channels to not pay this multi room charge the request as well as its no good to me as i live on my own and is not really required.
anay advise would be greatTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0 -
DAM!
I'm currently on the £19.50 a month offer and phoned tonight to cancel my subscription (not really I wanted sky+ for £89 + free installation like the new customers get) but was offered a refurb box @ £49 inc installation.
Whilst this seemed a good deal I thought I could do better, WRONG! My subscription will end in 30 days. I phoned back within 20mins to say I had reconsidered and would like to take to refurb box for £49 and upgrade my package to include the movies, but was told that I was no longer entitled to the offer. It was only 15 mins since my original call to cancel but the guy wouldn’t budge or offer anything else, so I said OK continue with the cancellation and he hung up!!!!
I think I will be left with the skybox and card, which without a subscription just becomes a freeview box (but with a good signal!!!).
Must admit to being a bit annoyed with myself but how ridiculous are Sky? One minute you can have it then 10 mins later you can’t so they lose your custom! Idiots! :wall:
Just thought I would post this so you don’t also make the same mistake!!!
Anyway I’ll be £19.50 a month better off! Lets see if I end up missing it or not?0 -
I did that, i had to ring up cust services and cancel my cancellation then ask to be put through to cancellations so i could get the £49 deal.
If you have cancelled you are can no longer get any deal and the cancellation department cant reverse it.
Mental isnt it0 -
