I don't think you lose it if you just cancel the + sub as I think thats just for the EPG. More if you drop sky alltogether. Maybe even losing recorded movies if they were on a premium channel and you drop to a lesser package...0 -
Sky site is still showing as needing multiroom atm. Hopefully they haven't updated their site yet and when you do you won't need multiroom. Am I being impatient!?0

although you do need to use a slash as in [/b] at the end to turn off the bold, otherwise the whole of the text will be in bold

REFURBISHED SKY+ FOR £49? - Existing customers only
I don't know if this has been posted on here before - I can't find it.
After reading another bargain forum thread, it seems a lot of people have been getting SKY+ recently for just £49 including free installation. It's kind of an unofficial deal. You get a refurbished SKY+ box but it's guaranteed for 12 months and you don't have to take multiroom. Again you have to pay the usual £10 monthly subscription.
I don't know if they are still doing this or not (they were last week) but you have to ring up SKY and ask for the cancellations department (only they can offer this deal). Tell them you are aware of the £49 refurb box offer and you are interseted in it. This often works, otherwise if they say there is no such offer say you want to cancel otherwise. You may have to start to go through the cancellation procedure but if they can offer the deal then they will usualy cave in at this point. Even if you do go through with the cancellation you have 2 weeks to change your mind anyway.
I rang up last week and was offered the deal but was hoping that the boxes would be refurbished V2 boxes - the guy said it could be any SKY+ box and I want the nice new style! I ended up getting a new SKY+ installation for £99 but had to have multiroom too. Was installed within 2 days though!
The £49 offer may still be available so give them a call, you've got nothing to lose.0 -
Hasn't that offer been running a while though?0
-
Hasn't it been £99 for new customers for quite some time???0
-
Yes it has, a lot of current subscribers have phoned them up threatening to cancel the subs and got the same deal or better.0
