Appeal failed advice

Advice please
My husband appealed against a ticket. This was to a company not covered by a trade scheme. The appeal has failed. Reading your board it looks like he has done the wrong thing. Does he just pay the debt collector now or do we fight and if so what can we do?

Oh dear, not much you can do, but why would you pay a debt collector who has added on their fee for the joy of threatening you?
What was the terrible deed you did to get a charge?0 -

The issue was that the voucher for parking had slipped off the dashboard and was on the seat.0

This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.
Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by in the not too distant future..

CPM are IPC members , (their trade body) and come under the letter U on the IPC website
https://theipc.info/aos-members/u
the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread gives advice on both trade bodies, especially IPC and not using the IAS and ignoring anything but an LBC or an MCOL within 6 years0 -
As per Redx above
CPM are very well known scammers who are predators on housing estates.
The IPC, THE SO CALLED ATA they belong to, change their name like it's a public convenience .... they now called themselves United Trade and Industry ..... in turn they operate the IAS which is a scam appeals service set up by Gladstones Solicitors.
This scam members club are a complete waste of time as their purpose in life is to protect their members. Government is fully aware of this.
So you ignore the idiot debt collectors .... POWERLESS NOMADS
You need to read about these scammers here ...
https://parking-prankster.blogspot.com/search?q=CPM
After ignoring the debt collectors, trust us they are complete idiots, you may well get letters from the head Honcho of the scam which is Gladstones solicitors.
If that happens come back and we will assist you.
Such cases as yours, the courts are now finding them to be completely time wasting and the courts do whoop Gladstones a lot for such rubbish claims ??
NEVER EVER PAY OR TALK TO THE DEBT COLLECOR JUNKIES0 -
I am a leaseholder. We do not have an allocated space but just pay for a visitors space when we need it. The management company are not interested.
I can see about complaining to mp - what do I do in the meantime? The car park company has just passed the case on to the debt collectors0 -
do not contact or pay the debt collectors , they are just after money plus a latge cut for themselves , unlike normal things like credit , they cannot report to credit files etc , they cannot start court action , if you ignore they will give up and send back to cpm0
