  • Can i just add to this. My wife tried this trick and it worked fine in one store but the other store she was point blank refused even after a little discussion with the lady on the till. She then Emailed Argos stating there T&C's and she received a reply yesterday stating. She was right she should of been offered the free voucher as she paid in cash for them and to take a print out of the Argos Email to her local store with her receipt and she will receive her £10 voucher. So Argos know all about this trick only time will tell if they change there T&C's in the future..
  • hahaha. What a cop-out. Even their own team are confused about their policies. That's Argos for ya.
  • So would you honour the recent 'PS3 6 games' offer then? Just a query.
That would depend on how nicely you asked about it. If you'd have come to me demanding to know where your games were and started getting arsey about it, then no I wouldn't have, but if you were pleasent and genuine then yes I would have.

They are not so much confused - just management teams have different opinions as to what should and shouldn't be allowed. The majority of workers at the moment are xmas temps and don't know any better. Others will give in to save having an argument. Some people are scrooges and won't allow it at all. Customer services don't help by overiding store decisions. As said before they do have the right to withdraw the offer blah blah... In my opinion the only thing that should be refused is when someone buys £100 of vouchers to get £10 back then buys another £100 of vouchers using the first lot of vouchers. In fact I'm pretty sure the till won't allow vouchers to be bought with vouchers. (Don't quote me on that though!) I have to say that it would be nice for the customers and us customer advisors if they made the T&C's more clear as to what people can and can't do with these voucher offers.
I actually hate it when the voucher offer is on especially when someone who buys 1 item for £200 and wants to know why they haven't got a £20 voucher back, or when there is a huge queue and you keep having to print the bloody things.

One last thing - I do apologise to Apathetically for going off my head at you. I'd had a bad day and you tipped me over the edge. Although I did think the arrogant and ignorant pricks comment was uncalled for. Besides that fact that I am female so not used to being called that, name calling belongs in primary school.
  • I apologise too for all the comments i made, guess it was the heat of the moment. Plus you're a female !?! Where are my manners.
