Thanks all. It seems like some of it hinges on how much you use the phone (and we use it less and less) versus the need to get Freeview working. This all comes from the steady increases in prices that Virgin seem to impose, even though the broadband speed creeps up too.

Bigphil, that Now TV deal seems good. I took NowTV on a while ago but I'll give it another look.

Compared to up to £1,200 a year for Virgin what do you think? Say you pay £30 a month for the BB (you shouldn't be paying more than that regardless) that's a saving of £840 a year.

If your TV has inbuilt Freeview then you just need an aerial.
