Compared to my BT
BB up to 52 meg + Line Rental + BT Max TV + BT Sport HD . circa £36 pm add on BT Ultra HD recordable TV box £60.
But the Freeview part of BT TV requires an airial .0 -
Thanks all. It seems like some of it hinges on how much you use the phone (and we use it less and less) versus the need to get Freeview working. This all comes from the steady increases in prices that Virgin seem to impose, even though the broadband speed creeps up too.
Bigphil, that Now TV deal seems good. I took NowTV on a while ago but I'll give it another look.0 -
Dear all,
I am one of those old people, just retired. I have rather excellent broadband, being in the London region. It also costs me nearly £100 a month. This includes a basic TV package of which I mainly watch Channel 4, and therefore seems a waste to be paying Virgin for this.
If I were to switch I would need to purchase a freeview box/es for the house; and set up the relevant aerials. I have no plans of getting rid of the broadband, as I use it heavily.
Does anyone have comments on whether this is worth making an outlay on freeview and new aerials, etc.
Thanks
Kevan
Compared to up to £1,200 a year for Virgin what do you think? Say you pay £30 a month for the BB (you shouldn't be paying more than that regardless) that's a saving of £840 a year.
If your TV has inbuilt Freeview then you just need an aerial.0
