Why do Americans get WAY better CC deals than us?

As people have mentioned before, these are different cards for different markets. There is no shortage of competition here.
Name me a UK VISA card that even comes CLOSE to the chase sapphire reserve in terms of value to the consumer? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

But that poster said there's plenty of competition "here". Why would a UK market credit card try to compete with a US market card?
If you're so desperate to have one, go live there and get one.0 -

What a ridiculous and petty thing to say. Yeah I'm going to move my entire life to get a specific credit card. :money:
Have you read the title of the thread? I asked why do Americans get better credit card deals than us. Which is a very valid question. And is certainly true. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It balances out - they also seem to get far worse deals on current accounts than we do over here, with charges for virtually everything.0

From what I remember the first planes landed on HMS Queen Elizabeth in September.
True, she finally has a grand total of 15 fighters. AMERICAN fighters. The UK isn't even capable of designing and supplying their own planes anymore. Instead, yet more money goes to an American company.
Which takes me back to my initial point on this thread, the US has better CC offers as the US has a substantially better economy.0 -

The US is a big place, depends where you live. The cost of living, rent and property will vary depending on State. Differences in attitudes and outlook in say the Southern States and North West States are like that of different countries.
All in all, you are going to have a substantially better life than that of the UK, for less money. Same goes for Germany. Simply because they have a better economy.
And are not stupid enough to vote for something, that carries a high risk of chronically affecting their own economy.0 -

No, they have 15 jet aircraft that belong to the UK (and about another 15 on order for delivery in the short term) for a total of 138 in total over the length of the program and are produced by an international consortium that is American led.
The UK makes around 15% of every single F35 sold in the world, they will probably make more money from their part of manufacturing than the full order of F35’s will cost the UK to buy.
There are nine partner countries in the consortium – Australia, Canada, Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.0 -
Sorry is this about VISA cards or something else? STOP posting picture of these silly planes.
THANKYOU0 -

Compared to what the UK used to be its an F35'ing joke. We are not a superpower and don't have much say in world events anymore. As part of a European trade alliance we had more to say, than as a tiny island which doesn't make much, relies on trade and thinks it can still afford to send big, expensive ships to do the Americans dirty work.
Better to let the Yanks be the world police they want to be, and look after our own economy by not sabotaging trade agreements with the richest country in Europe.
Rule Britannia is over. We need good trade to survive. Then we'll have better credit deals.0
