Local parking security ltd

I have appealed a private parking ticket from LPS Ltd as i had no change on my person so i went to get some to pay for a ticket. I have sciatic nerve damage due to SPD from my first pregnancy and was in severe pain so was moving slower than usual. I had every intention of paying for a ticket which was only £1. I came back to my car to find a PCN. They have said that because no ticket was on display I have to pay £100 fine, although it feels as if the issuer was lying in wait to pounce. I'm aware there was no ticket as i had left in order to get one? You even get the £1 back when you hand it over the counter so it is essentially a free car park.... I just don't think I should pay when i genuinely was not trying to avoid paying for a ticket. I can't afford £100 for a genuine circumstance of not having any change on me which i didn't realise until I had approached the machine and got my purse out. Silly me for thinking I would have some sort of period in which to pay rather than being issued with a ticket straight away..... Please help....

You can't just park and then wander off to get money to pay.
You can't do that in council car parks either.
