    While a previous poster said that there is no legal claim for compo, is this regarding the problem itself? I'd have thought there would be a case for a reported problem not dealt with later resulting in damage to the tenants own property...     The OP is not legally entitled to compensation full stop. There is a process to follow to get repairs done in a rental property and it's possible the OP hasn't even done the first step i.e. sending a letter, never mind the slugs, to the address for the serving of notices given in the tenancy agreement. I know the OP has sent emails but has the OP put pen to paper?
