Energy provider - EDF or Scottish Power?
Hi
I have just done a price comparison and these 2 come out best for me as I approach the end of a fix with nPower.
Nothing much to choose between them on price - standing charge identical, SP £19 more for gas, EDF £11 more for elec. A drop in the ocean either way as both will save £400 off the (enormous) bill we'd have from nPower if we didn't switch.
So it is down to customer service - if needed - and website / billing.
Anyone have any strong feelings on either supplier? I have always hated nPower but every now and then their fix is just the best price for us as high energy users.

The £400 is an illusory saving as you are not comparing like with like. You could move to another NPower fixed tariff. Be that as it may.
If you use the Search function, you will see that there are feedback threads for both EDF and SP.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I am comparing like for like - no npower tarrif on offer comes close, but thank you for your input.
Search brings back 300 threads but SP seems more hated than EDF so maybe that is the best answer I am going to get.I’m a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Pensions, Annuities & Retirement Planning, Loans

I hate EDF's 'portal' - sends me loopy going round and round in circles and requiring me to log in repeatedly before sending me back to the beginning and start again 3-4 times before I can get a simple bit of information :mad:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
