Neither statement is true of all MPs, sure some will be very wealthy and some won't have lived on the breadline or a sink estate - but to state ALL are millionaires etc is just ridiculous. You'd be surprised at the very ordinary jobs some MPS have had before becoming elected to Parliament.
My local MP, who is in the shadow cabinet, has never actually had a real job0 -

Hi SuperPikachu
MPs are elected to Parliament by their constituents. Party leaders and Ministers are selected from these individuals. If you know someone who represents what you think a leader should be, then you can ask them to stand for election. We have an ongoing commitment to promoting a diverse and representative Parliament, and that starts with you, the electorate.
If you, or someone you know, would like to stand, you can find information on how to get started here

Looking at the roadmap, I'm really surprised that parliamentary recess is so long - considering the circumstances.
Hi BucksLady,
The Christmas recess is about the same length every year, and 2018's was set some time ago. In exceptional circumstances, it is possible for Parliament to be recalled and for sitting days to be added, in order to resolve pressing business.
We haven't had any indication that this will happen yet, but there is protocol should it be necessary.

Why do you write "this will happen"? This kind of thing never "happens": it is decided upon by supposedly responsible people, that is to say, it is actively chosen, it is actively determined. It does not happen by itself. Your phraseology suggests some kind of automatism which doesn't exist.0
