Arthur, you no longer need to use hxxp, you have enough posts to post a live link

Well I did, when I Googled those words.

It's NOT the 1st one on this list, you want the 3rd one:

https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/

I say it again: you are complaining about how they are handling your data (not a nuisance phone call complaint, it isn't that simple).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No you don't? One asks about nuisance calls and the other asks about data concerns.

"Concerns raised with us

From the information provided it appears that on 31/03/2017 you asked BW to contact you by letter only. You have complained to the ICO because BW telephoned you on 6/11/2018 and 21/11/2018.

Our view

I have considered the information in relation to this complaint and I am of the opinion that BW has not infringed the data protection legislation.

The General Data Protection Regulation (‘GDPR’)

The GDPR says that organisations must first have a valid lawful basis in order to process personal data. As I understand it, BW obtained your personal information from Vehicle Control Services Limited, in respect of collection of payment of a parking charge.

As long as BW has a legitimate reason to hold your personal data in the first place, then there would be nothing within the DPA to prevent them from telephoning you in respect of the parking charge."

Are we about to see a government dept supporting scammers ?

My reply to the ICO would be......

Whilst I accept that BWLegal can make contact on behalf of their client, I have expressly told them to deal with me in writing only and to cease phone contact.

BWLegal continue to harass me by phone. My question must be, do the ICO approve of harassment ? This is a simple YES or NO answe
