Contact the recipient by some other means (by phone, for example) and ask them to tell their email admin that it appears that their email system is refusing connections from your email server. Give them the error details shown below. It's likely that the recipient's email admin is the only one who can fix this problem.

    . . . . . .

The email address OFTM gave me for direct debit queries is

    dd@outfoxthemarket.co.uk

Are you sure you were using the right address?

Edit: Just noticed that the email you quoted was they sent the notification from. That must be an "non-monitored mailbox" as companies like to use, and they give the above email as the one to use.

Love the Douglas Adams quote, I bet it was wasted on them 😂😂

I have just had a Web Chat with Farha and she was about as much use as a Chocolate fire guard!

After not being able to answer my question she said that the credit control team would get back to me by e-mail!

She did not understand my reply of:

I have more chance of the Vogons building a road to Magrathea!

So I responded with the Dolphins final comment!

In other news ive gone back to Green Network. When I left these i was actually £200 in credit. Put in my expected usage per month which result in a £60 DD for £720 per year, cheaper than the £900+ estimated with OTM.

Today's email asking for a meter reading (I supply them with one every month on the 1st so they are not short of readings) also welcomed me following my move to oftm....I joined them in March.....
    I think....

Further to submitting my regular meter reads last week and emailing them photographic evidence as per the request in their then latest email trying to explain their reasoning behind the changes, I received another email after my latest bill saying that my direct debit is going up at the end of this month from what I've been paying since April - £27.82 to £49.08 per month until further notice.

No mention of a winter or summer months change. And no mention of the change from membership fee to daily standing charge in January either. I noticed yesterday that my fixed direct debit to OFTM has disappeared from my bank account's regular payments list and replaced by a new one with no payments yet taken.

I'm currently £30 in debit with them, so even with supplying accurate info from the outset (I'm on the Whack Jan '18 18 month tariff) and giving accurate monthly readings, along with increasing my membership tier without notice a quarter way through my contract a few months back (making my bills higher), I'm now paying £15 per month more than I was paying with my previous supplier. And I was in credit when I left them!

I joined them a few months ago and have since switched banks. They've taken a Direct Debit from my new bank, but in their latest email to me they have updated my Direct Debit instruction and included my old bank details! I've emailed them to say that they'd better change it back because they won't be able to take a DD from a bank account that no longer exists, but based on what's been happening I won't hold my breath for a reply!

They're too unpredictable for me, seem to be really making a mess of things with all the emails etc. I like communications and to be kept informed but they just keep changing things all the time and I can't be sure how much I'm paying or anything as they're constantly moving the goal posts
