Ignore the request if you are confident that the transfer has actually gone through. Call your new supplier or check the databases to be sure. Your new supplier will provide OFTM with validated closing meter readings.
Thanks, yes its gone through with the Peoples Energy as its showing £8 debit on my account. Apparently they do not require pre- payment for the month unlike OTM.0 -

Why? Make them wait. They obviously need the money but not need to help them out by paying quickly. Treat it like all the E-mails they have not answered. Make them wait 4 to 6 weeks!0 -

I went live on the 27/12/2018.
First Direct Debit is to be taken on the 27/01/2019.
So I have no idea as how they work.0 -

Just be prepared for them to take double the amount on the 27th Jan. - happened similarly to me with another small supplier who missed their first payment - they sent me an email the day before to tell me!!0 -

£75 in credit, DD £64, I worked out final bill to be around £100. Today had £135 more taken from my account. Rang them up and agreed they shouldn't have taken out that much.
Said I'd get a refund in 14 working days, I said that's unacceptable as new supplier has also taken 1st payment out today.
I said I'd get my DD money back from Bank and will pay you direct for final bill once it's generated, is that ok and you won't charge me any fee for doing that? They said no, so I got payment refunded cancelled DD, and will wait for final bill to pay.0 -
Concur with the above....
People's energy took their first payment from me exactly on the date they started supplying me.
Their account shows a "Live" account balance which appears to be updated daily, thus my £100 DD on 24th December showed as £100 credit on my account and goes down slightly each day, now showing as £85 credit.
As for OTM, my account with them is showing as in Debit because they over-estimated my readings on the last bill (and as I knew my credit balance was adequate to cover my usage I cancelled the Direct Debit). Because of this perceived debit they will keep trying to reinstate the DD even though I've already switched away. Something you might wish to be aware of.
My actual final readings show my account as being in credit but as it will take 8 weeks to raise the final bill I expect there will be a number of attempts to reinstate the DD between now and then.0 -
No longer the cheapest for me, the change from a membership (I am a low user) to a daily standing charge has seen a big rise coupled with the 3 price increases they are nowhere near the most competitive0

I'm £35 in credit according to the OFTM Hero Hub. As they didn't justify their massive proposed increase in my DD (it was overall 25% higher than the original) I transferred to the Green Network, who confirmed they were my supplier on 11th December. They started taking payment and I was unable to get through to OFTM about getting my credit refunded. On 2nd January OFTM took a direct debit from me, for nearly double the last payment. I cancelled it immediately and got the money refunded by my bank, OFTM emailed to ask me to re-instate the DD. I replied, telling them as I was with another supplier now I'd assumed the DD was a mistake, I'd not been able to get through to customer services and could they contact me urgently to let me know when my credit would be refunded. Now I've got their attention it'll be interesting to see what they say.0
