Boiler Help Please

I am looking to replace my system boiler. My old boiler is a 28KW Valiant Turbomax and is near the end of its life.


Being a good chap I have got three quotes although the last plumber said that a 30kw boiler was completely undersized as I had to include my 18kw coil in my cylinder otherwise I could have issues with cycling and a loss of efficiency and I should be closer to 40-45kw!!.


No other plumber has mentioned this.


So braniacs, am I being sold a pup or is the last plumber correct. I have 14 rads in the house and use a smart control (tado) and as such the hot water is on for brief periods during the day?

Im not trying to promote here since Im not connected to GreenServeUK but you may want to visit their site and consider their heaters. I found them just recently and their products are quite impressive. Me and my husband is considering trying them as they claim to be cost saving and energy efficient. Who knows you might be interested too and consider trying their claims.
