POPLA reference received

Hi,
I have received my POPLA reference after my initial appeal to parkingeye was unsuccessful.
I have been trying to find a ‘what to do now’ thread and a template to follow for my appeal to popla, can someone point me in the right direction or a link to this.
It was at the Holiday Inn Hotel, in Brentwood any tips and ideas appreciated.
The hotel said they have a £10 minimum spend and they can cancel it for me although a) I didn’t pay and b) the two coffees dont cost more than £10. They also stated for an admin fee of £30 they can cancel it without the £10 minimum spend!!! So a £100 fine reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days or hotel can cancel for £30......
Thanks

Hi and welcome.
Post #3 of the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread should be your starting point for compiling a PoPLA appeal.0 -
It is not a fine.
Did you give away the driver's identity when you appealed to parking lie? I hope not.
Have you read the sticky thread for NEWBIES. Post 3 has a number of template PoPLA appeal points for you to copy and paste. Use every point that is relevant to your case.
Have you left negative feedback on the Hotel's website or Trapadvisor etcetera?
You should complain to your MP about this unregulated scam using the information from post 1 of the NEWBIES.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Everyone is politely asked to read up on this in the newbies faq thread before posting here
Go there now to get an understanding of the game you are caught up in
#3 there covers POPLA appeals
Throughout you are advised never to reveal who was driving
You need to edit your post to remove details of the driver
The ppcs monitor this forum and can use your posts against you0 -
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.
Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by in the not too distant future..You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
