Use a comparison site and use the figures of 1750 Kwh for electric and 7000 Kwh for gas.

Your figures are low but to be expected given that you spend hardly any time there.

Also, your usage - based on your actual readings nearly a year apart - are similar to mine.

Average figures are just that - an average. Some people, like you and me, will use less than average and others will use a lot more, while others will use somewhere near the average.

Anyone any idea where the supplier get the 4813.60 figure from when the actual was 1502 ? Is there any logic ?

I had a similar "guess" from SSE when I switched - all it was to concentrate my mind.

It's not far off from ofgem's value.

The upshot to all of this is that you should be in credit by a tidy sum.
  • Thanks for everyone's help last week. Had an update of figures from my energy company and Robin9 you were right in saying 1502. As you say, no idea where they got 4813 from!!

Just plugged the usage into the cheap energy club and the bill has almost halved :money::money:

    That's good news.

Who have you opted to have as your new supplier ? Take photo's when asked.

Don't forget the general advice - meter reads at least monthly, keep your own records, check your bills.
