High Electricity Usage, HELP

Hi, I'm Laura and I'm new to this
I'm due to change energy tariff on 3/12/18 so have been looking around for cheaper prices.
With our usage over the year, and the increase in energy prices, I'm being quoted £81/month cheapest.
I live with my girlfriend in a small mid terraced, 2 bed house and looking at the figures from our current supplier, I'm questioning if there may be an issue with our electricity meter:
Gas: 7177 kWh
Electricity: 4813.6 kWh
We have gas central heating with a combi boiler, our hob is gas, electric fan oven.
We're out of the house from 8:00 to 16:00 mon-fri, and on an evening we will use one, sometimes two showers and watch TV together in the living room.
Does this seem high for standard electricity usage? This is the first year we have both been responsible for our own bills as opposed to leaving them to the landlord and paying a little extra rent, so we're a little clueless
Hope I've been clear!
Thanks in advance for any help and advice!!

Are these taken from actual readings 12 months apart or do they include estimates ? Could you post readings please
Gas is about normal - electricity is above average .Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Hi my readings are as follows:
December 2017
Gas: 9764
Electricity: 22435
March 2018:
G: 10108
E: 22876
April 2018
G: 10202
E: 23020
November 2018:
G: 10373
E: 23937
I don’t know how to convert this into usage or kWh0 -
Are these actual or estimated please ? your bill should say A, E or C
Could you read your electric and gas meters today please -Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
These are actual readings, no estimates0

Electricity of 4813kwH doesn't seem particularly high.
I'm a family of 4 in a 3-bed semi, combi boiler, and my usage over the past few years has been...
2014: Elec 6464
2015: Elec 7255
2016: Elec 7387
2017: Elec 78500 -
laurarooky - where does the electric 4813 come from. From the reading you have given Nov 23737 minus Dec 22435 is 1302 ? and is ridiculously low
The elec kwh is given directly from the meter - gas needs to be multiplied by 11.2.
The gas looks rightNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
Hi Robin9, thanks for your help so far!
4813kWh is stated on my most recent bill as an electricity projection based on this years usage. Due to access issues, readings between April and November were estimated by the energy company. The energy company used the projected figures to look at a new tariff with them, so I used them across comparison sites. Do you think that's where the issue lies, based on my readings? Or could my readings be wrong?0 -
Hmmm - I don't understand why if there was no access you say the readings are actual ones.
Could you read your meters pleaseNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
I've gained access again since last week, the bushes had overgrown the box the meters are kept in so I couldn't get into them since April. I read my meters last night:
G: 10373
E: 239370 -
Ok For your gas use 10373 - 9764 = 609 x aapox 11.2 = 6820 kwh
For elec use your figures 23937 - 22435 = 1502 kwh (looks very low)Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0
