Today was again a spend that I didn't really need.

£5.14 on dinner in the work canteen. I just get roped into going because my team have such a laugh at work. I was perfectly happy to not have anything, but somehow I always end up eating!! Grrrr!

Couldn't you eat your packed lunch and then just buy a drink when you sit with them?

Well done on your progress anyway.:j

I think that may be the way forward! Thanks!

Yesterday was a nightmare personally, but a good day for not spending!!

Perhaps I should have personal crisies more often as a prelude to not spending??

Hi HBFS just had a read through of your diary and you sound as though you are doing fab. esp on switching to t-mob for the broadband. But DON'T GET USED TO having that extra money back in your pocket!! Pay it off a bill or to the parents immediately and then you won't look at your bank balance and think oooooh i have money!! (been there done that, oops!)
Would you trust your folks with your bank card? IF so take out say £30 for spends and food to last the week, when it's gone it's gone and your folks have your bank card!
Also use the suggestion above re pack up and just have a drinl in the canteen. Don't allow them to co-erce you into spending what you don't have, remember they are probably still using their cards like confetti.

You're doing great and I will keep checking in with interest!! Good luck hon xxx
debt @05/11/11 £12210.63!! slowly chipping away!!
:heart2:impossible is nothing.:heart2:

I really appreciate your support. Thanks so much!! Unfortunately, starting this diary in the middle of the month generally means I have nothing left anyway :rotfl: I'm hoping DFW principles will serve me well come pay-day!

Ugh. Today started badly when I f***** my knee, falling out of the shower. So had to cry off work. Then went out with the lass to see a band in London. That, plus a drink plus a t-shirt for her was a hefty ol' whack of cash (£26).

Women! So bloody expensive!

£26 for a gig is not that expensive really. Especially if that included a Tshirt and a drink........I assume tickets were bought before and not included in that spend.

Was this the girl with whom your ex had a run in?
If yes - Obviously didn't put her off then?
If no - ah well no harm in keeping your options open!

No, it was £12 for the ticket, and a tenner for the t-shirt. The rest was on drinks.
