Right, suppose I'd better start my diary in here!

Paid out £22 today due to me being an idiot and losing my driving licence. Also £5.41 on bread, milk, butter, ham and spread. Luckily I'm at work at 2 and therefore will be unable to spend money for the rest of the day!

However me saying that, due to having a good laugh at work, I went to the canteen and spent £4.18 on dinner yesterday :(

So far today, I haven't spent a bean thankfully. Tonight is a 10pm-7am shift and the canteen will be closed so it should be no more til tomorrow!

hehehe, it's the fact that we usually all go to the canteen and I didn't want to sit on my own eating sandwiches! :p

Today has been an expensive(ish) one. Withdrew £20 to pay for a rail ticket to West Ruslip (cheapest possible!), a few cans of Red Bull and a new diary for work!

  • Any chance of getting another job? I'm doing 3 jobs at the moment, it's a bit of a juggle, but it is do-able and really helps.

I work 6 on, 3 off and 5 on, 2 off in unhelpful mixes of earlies, lates and nights. I'm never available on the same day twice unfortunately :( Good suggestion tho, and one I would follow if able.

  • Re mobiles and internet:

    - via a mobile an internet add on with 3 is £5 or t-mobile £7.50 so maybe you need to change service provider!!! O2 is crap for data

    - you can get proper broadband via 3 and vodafone now without the need for a phone line. Up to 1gb is only £10 per month with 3 and then rising depending on how much you need, vodafone is a bit more pricey. So you don't have to fork out the £180 (as long as your data usage isn't massive - lots of downloads)

    Afternoon all.

Today has been an NSD so far, but I fear that will change come about 4pm, due to credit needs and laptop death.

I have noticed that since joining these boards, I have begun to watch my (very little) money more carefully, which can only be a good thing. My spending diary is coming in massively handy, as I can see just how much I spend on the vending machine at work! (£1 a day so far)

    I now get my internet from T-Mobile. £20 for 3Gb a month

Today was unfortunately the herald of some spending :(

A new 2008 diary for work (invaluable, to be honest, with all the odd shifts I do) for £3.49 and I spent £4.60 in the pub earlier too. That was for drinks for my mate who was trying his hardest to sort out my very much dead laptop. And £2.60 on lunch, which, if I'm honest, could have been avoided. But it's a guilty pleasure for me.
