A wrong VRN is regarded by many judges as a trifle, and the law does not concern itself with trifles.

The PPC could therefore be in line for a rough ride in court if they were daft enough to go ahead with this claim, it is clearly a scamwhich their down-market law firm is happy to go along with.
This is an entirely unregulated industry which is scamming the public with inflated claims for minor breaches of alleged contracts for alleged parking offences, aided and abetted by a handful of low-rent solicitors.
Parking Eye, CPM, Smart, and others have already been named and shamed in the House of Commons as have Gladstones Solicitors, and BW Legal, (these two law firms take hundreds of these cases to court each week, hospital car parks and residential complex tickets have been especially mentioned. They lose most of them, and have been reported to the regulatory authority by an M.P. for unprofessional conduct
The problem has become so widespread that MPs have agreed to enact a Bill to regulate these scammers. It has even been suggested that some of these companies have links with organised crime.
Watch the video of the Second Reading and committee stage in the House of Commons recently. MPs have a very low opinion of this industry.

and complain in the most robust terms to your MP. With a fair wind they will be out of business by in the not too distant future..

Very interesting clip. Thank you. Also, does GDPR allow Brittania to give out my phone number?!0

Maybe when I completed my very first appeal? I have never given my number to any of the subsequent debt collectors0

They have never reverted to the £15 admin offer in the letter they claimed they sent before upping to €160 again.
Send a SAR to their Data Protection Officer (whose email you will find on their Privacy page) and also head it Rectification Notice.
Point out that under the GDPR they cannot charge for a SAR and nor can they charge for your right to rectification, so the £15 they tried to extort under excuse of 'admin' in rectifying the VRN (to match the VRN they already knew it was, from their ANPR images) is illegal.
Search the forum for Britannia Rectification VRN - pretty sure I've written one on here before.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
