Speky - good to hear that you're 'settling in' at your new job :T. But it must be driving you a bit batty to be trying to cater for yourself from a hotel room . What a pity you couldn't have got a room in a Hostel for this first week - at least you'd have had access to a kitchen, even if it isn't very luxurious . Altrincham is definitely a 'rather nice' area of Greater Manchester/Cheshire - I was thinking that your office was going to be somewhere in the city or one of the Business Parks around Manchester. You've dropped on there :j!

• I've been able to have a very relaxing morning - so happy girl at the moment.
• I've got a Trustees Meeting for the Charity Shop later this afternoon, so looking forward to that - more planning for our Christmas Cracker Event (Christmas Fayre with visit from Santa and Festive Refreshments) in a couple of weeks time. This is always one of our 'money earners' for the charity, despite us giving away the refreshments :J.
• Will be having a visit from DS1 and DDiL this evening.

Off to prepare some lunch - probably finish off the Coriander&Lemon Hummus and GF Crispbreads from yesterday :drool:.

I’m feeling inspired today, and crafty, now I just must research how to do what I’d like to. But I am digging down a bit more to the office progress will be made.

A change in plans for food today as I’m hoping to get to an exercise class.

Good evening all, thank you for the positive thoughts, it worked, Mum has been allocated a room in her preferred residential home. The manager is lovely and those of my siblings who have viewed are sure that it is the best available in the area. Such a relief, I have a headache from tension and dehydration, but will have a relaxing time this evening and catch up with all your happenings.

Next up is to start clearing a 3 bedroom house that has been occupied by the family since 1982, it will be hard on many counts, but as our Organza_Lace says, onwards and forwards.

Also sending healing vibes to poorly horses and dogs, I do hope that Blackun is improved this evening.

Today I've made a start on the second photo book I've ever done, it's taking longer because this DD is a more complex personality and I want to be sure I get it right for her. It's also complicated by her recent relationship breakup after 5 years. One of the best photos of her is with him in the photo, and I can't decide whether to crop him out or not. Decisions, decisions...


Speky! So glad you made it online and are sounding in reasonable nick. It's good you've been made welcome by your new colleagues, and I hope you find a way of keeping the fodder costs down until you're in your new quarters.


I'm off to yoga soon so I'd better go and have a scratch to eat before I go - I have my main meal at lunchtime on yoga days.

Hi all
Thanks for the healing vibes and good wishes for the girls.
Lainey we have 4 acres of good grass and it has been split off until quite recently. The problem is greed and lack of exercise!! It isn't drastic but we need to manage her better lol
My back slowly improving too , if a lot slower than it came
