  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

    Happy birthday Holly.

Specky good to hear that you have arrived in your new job and your work mates are ok. I sympathise with the having dinner problem, it might be cheaper for you to find a small local cafe and eat at lunch time, then take sandwiches back to your hotel for your supper. If there is a Sainsbury close to the office they do a superb fish and chips for just over £5.

Up and at em this morning, its going to be a busy day. Bed stripped sheets etc in the washer, its a bright day so they will go out on the line. Will have to try and take them in before 3pm, I was late yesterday and it had started to damp down. Cleaner is here, expecting a delivery and also DD2 is coming over, so its going to be full on today.

Bellabella the bicarb is a short term thing, it will not cure the problem, just makes it less painful, I have an appointment to see the Dr.

OK off to get on, I cleaned the sewing room round the machine, the window etc yesterday I picked up a lot of loose thread, so will need to check that it has not gone round the roller. I really aught to get it serviced, but its expensive, want to hold off until after Christmas if I can. Will take the filter out and wash it. I want to whip round the rest of the sewing room before the cleaner comes.

Corned beef and salad for supper tonight, will do a jacket spud with it, no idea about dessert.

Thanks for the thread Bella, happy birthday to holly and hugs to all those in need.

Stroke nurse this morning, shopping this afternoon.
Tomorrow we are taking dgd for lunch again then Thursday CHS has another hospital appointment, he is having very bad dizzy spells when he tips his head back so he will be tested for benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. No plans for Friday so far.

    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

Gosh what a night!! half expected to se Noah on the doorstep this morning!
The saga of Scoobymare continues as we have now changed to dry poultices to try and draw out whatever is causing the problem. Its the say hoof every time so there is a weakness there of some sort. Bruise had her fronts done yesterday too and farrier sad he thought there may be a borderline touch of laminitis. Just so difficult to keep weight off her at the moment as she is a nightmare to ride out on her own. Have to cut her field time down , and her hard feed too.

Just did my back drying SallyLab down after our morning visit to the mares so not a happy bunny. She's snoring her head off on the settee!

Hugs and Spoons to those in need.

Just popping in the send birthday wishes to Holly.
Specky I second the fish and chips in Sainsbury's cafe, but they do have some healthier options too.

I started the day with a 15 minute guided meditation on You Tube, I got to 10/11 minutes before I started to get restless and wonder how long was left. Definitely slowed my breathing down and made it deeper, so will be doing it again.

Today is "D" day for Mum, she is to be assessed by the Power to Be from the residential home she hopes to go to, if anyone can spare a few positive vibes for her I would be very grateful:) There is just one room available for nursing care and no "residential" beds, hospital think she should qualify with her needs, but we have to wait and see, sadly we have no plan b at present:(

SS think it is quite acceptable for her to go home, have 3 visits a day from carers, max 3 x 45 minutes, for washing, feeding, loo trips, drinks, getting ready for bed etc, and that she should expect to sit in soiled pads if the visits do not tie in with her body functions. Don't get me wrong, she does own a low value house and must pay for her care while she has funds, but the thought of her in those conditions is :eek::eek::eek: Closer family are all working, I am further away and ill:(

Sorry about the whinge, just needed to get if out of my head a little.

Hugs, spoons and light to all who need them.

    Happy birthday Holly.

Speky, good to hear that things are going ok.

Maddiemay, it's distressing and infuriating that care for old people is so difficult.

Hugs to all the poorlies and their carers.

I didn't post yesterday because life is very quiet atm. Laura has asked us to go down tomorrow because she's struggling and Brian has meetings all day. She's at the hospital today. We'll stay there until Friday and ten come home because Steve has a day in Basingstoke arranged by the Lymphoma UK charity. It's about the medical aspects and there is one in London on Monday about living with Lymphoma which we're both going to.

More sewing in sore today - I've completed two of the borders now, I just need the other two doing.

The sun is shining at the moment but there are short sharp showers around. I have put a load in the WM but I am undecided whether to chance putting it out to dry.
I have a really busy week this week starting with taking Dad to see the consultant tomorrow. I have promised him if he's good we'll take him to KFC for lunch :D. Then later we are picking up the DGC from school, taking them home and letting Jasper out, or he'll be sitting with crossed legs and watering eyes , because SiL is in London on a course and DD has a late meeting. So today is the only day that we are at home and I can do any housework .......... not that there is not much to do mind you :j. So the DW will be filled in a moment and I shall start it up, then I will throw the hoover about and chase the dust around :rotfl:. After that some pottering around will be the order of the day.

Thursday and Friday are also earmarked with things that must be done . So we are busy, busy, busy this week and if I'm MIA it's because of RL getting in the way.
Nelski I'm here . Glad you had a good day yesterday and hope your Mum lets herself enjoy today and not cut off her nose to spite her face ( I know you understand what I mean )
Holly Sending you Birthday Wishes :bdaycake:I hope you have a lovely day.
MaddieM I am sending positive vibes and I hope you get the result that you and your Mum need. I have everything crossed, even my eyes ( not a pretty sight :rotfl:)
Organza L are you up yet ? Have a good day.
Speky Lovely to hear things are going well in your first week. Just a few more days and you can relax in your flat.
Sending healing vibes to the poorly people and hugs all round.
Thinking of TA and Poppy too.

I'd best get dressed I suppose and I'm still in my night attire
I will post at some point this week...... I hope :D.
    Take care all.

Almost afternoon all...will be by the time I've finished writing this...Side effects still whizzing round the body, got the painful nails, heartburn and indigestion, shooting pains and general yukkiness. Ah well, when they wear off this time, that'll be it hopefully....and I can look forward to hair and eyebrows and eyelashes in about 4 months time :)
Didn't do the paperwork yesterday, absolutely must do it today [or tomorrow] otherwise I'll be missing deadlines. OH still off sick with chest infection/flu type thing. He's banished upstairs in case he's infectious.

Today, make a start on the forms, and learn how to make a pie, I have leeks and some pork, I would also like to learn how to make a pasty. Been watching Bake Off, it's a bad move!! I can make pastry but I've never made a pasty and I really fancy one.

OL, maybe Blackun needs to get over the shock of it, good luck working out a solution to the family tensions. redruby, can't believe they STILL haven't finished your car properly. AOD, not time for a new mattress is it? :) camelot, fire fire! love it! it's not cold enough to light mine again yet...nmlc, hope fat club goes ok. Nelski, I'm sure our parents were always banging on about the thought counting, maybe slip that one in? Hope it goes well :) tru, snap, no garden planning. If I'd gone out yesterday I'd have been blown over and hit by lightning...NIce to hear you're doing well Speky, have a look for any caffs, or takeaways, or gourmet food trucks, there should be a few of those there. Busy busy Hester! csaina, sewing room, ooooo, what kind of machine? Hope your mother gets in maddie. Hope you're doing ok Poppy and TA and Happy Birthday Holly.
    Have a good Tuesday all....

  • I am back.

Happy Birthday Holly, I can't make the smileys work on here but please just assume a special one.

JackieO I hope you are feeling better and you too taff. OL poor Blackun it is so difficult when our eloped pets start to show their age. Hope today goes well for CHS. Also, love to those I have missed off, some days I can't keep up!

Speky, great to know that things are going well so far. When I had to stay in hotels for work, my travel expenses wouldn't even run to a bar meal in most hotels so I used to get a salad or something from the nearest supermarket.

So far I have cleaned a bit in the kitchen, cleaned some of the windows, dusted a bit and hoovered, and used my ridiculous bendy thing behind radiators, I keep getting more cr*p out, think I loosened it the first time. One load of washing on the line and tge other in the machine, that's all that there will be room for today.

I can't do right for doing wrong with DS at present. It is very upsetting so I'm just going with the flow.

I a now going to carry on making pixies.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
