Speeding ticket

Hello All users,

not sure if anyone would be able to give me clarification, but last Wednesday I approached a speed camera, and as I went past it I was just below the limit, but then had to stop as lights turned red, but as lights turned green I must of gone 5mph over. I wasn't speeding past the camera tho, and was past the lines before went slightly over. can anyone answer this.

I've read this 3 times and still am not sure what you are asking? You went past a speed camera and a red light camera. What is there to clarify?

Your vehicle must have marvellous acceleration.

If you're asking will you get a speeding ticket, the only answer is wait and see. I know there's a time limit within which a ticket must be issued, otherwise it's invalid. I don't recall the time limit, but I expect others will know it.

It has to be in the sticky palm of the registered keeper within 14 days.

Not strictly correct.
All that is needed is for the NIP to be served at the address on record for the registered keeper within 14 days.
If the RK has moved and not updated their details or if they are still at that address and away on holiday for a few weeks then it doesn't matter if the document didn't end up in their "sticky palm" within the 14 day period.
Pedantic? possibly, but it could make a difference as to the outcome of cases.

I know it isn't strictly correct but I didn't see much point in the full fat answer in this instance. There are many bridges to cross before we get to late NIPs and Gidden.
