Bt WIFI Broadband

Options
We are having problems with our BT wifi home hub. We have 2 computers in our house one upstairs one down and generally they both work fine on the wireless but now the one that is not connected to the hub won't connect to the internet (we have tried connecting via laptop etc and it still won't find the connection so we know it's not the computer) anyway..... When we phoned BT they said try turning it off and on again when that did not work they suggested running a cable up the stairs to the other computer (remember this is supposted to be wireless) BT are now refusing to replace the home hub even though it is still under warrenty. We have complained and have asked they respond within 24 hours or we are going to contact watchdog, OFCOM and Trading Standards.

I'm a bit confused about your setup, are both computers connecting wirelessly ? If they are, and one is working, then it's not going to be Hub problem. If only one is wireless, and that one isnt working, then it doesn't sound as if any checks have been carried out to determine if the problem is with the hub or the PC itself.
