I've also survived a boundary dispute and I can tell you that it was several years of hell! There is no dealing with irrational, hostile and greedy people no matter how sensible, considerate or peaceable you may be.
You lost a bit of money in fees, but my word, you dodged a bullet!

Thank you for the good wishes, I certainly hope that we find something soon as we've wasted the best part of a year on this property (long boring story). Luckily our solicitor was really nice and charged us a lot less than I think she should have.
I'm sorry that you went through such difficulties with your own property, though.
I am still laughing about the phone call. My husband just cannot get over the cheek of them.0
