Best Screenwash

Hi guys,

I'm all out of my favoured apple stuff from Carparts4less and I'm after something now that will actually clean my windscreen, not smear and hopefully still smell nice :D

What do you reckon?

Thanks.

Get mine cheap in Concentrated 5Ltr bottles from Yorkshire Trading or Screwfix. I keep 2x old empty bottles and make up 2x 5ltr bottles to keep by the front door, fill up when necessary. I am not precious about what goes into the screen wash, it all does the same job and get no smears on my screen. If it rains heavily while I'm driving, I always use the wash/wipe. That clears the screen well, because the rain rinses off whatever gunk the wash liquid clears.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

But is the Screwfix one blue or yellow?
Just joking. :) Didn't know Screwfix did it. So thanks. I used to get the Lidl concentrated one, but they've stopped doing it. They do a "ready to use" version now.

I had called in to Screwfix to collect some electrickery stuff and just noticed the screenwash bottles. It was cheaper than Yorkshire Trading so I grabbed it. Both YT and SFix are blue stuff.

    You're welcome!

depending on your car you may want manufacturer screenwash.

some bmw users have had warranty claims for the washer system (circa hundreds of green queens) refused due to non spec screenwash.

Personally i use autoglym in audi and jeep.

Used to buy halfords own which worked fine but then for some reason they changed it from a chemical type smell to a very sweet cherry 'flavour' - which made me nauseous every time I used it.

Now we've got a VAG car so I've been using their own brand as per above its specified in the book - luckily the reservoir is so big it seems to only need filling once a year.

Im going to think of that everytime i put the washers on now :)

Have to get some little smurfs and glue them to the washer jets. :)

I used to get up early and watch the Smurfs before going to work, is that sad for someone in their 30's? Cant blame the kids they were still in bed. Silly time to put the show on before 6 or 7am?

Grew out of that by my 40's though :)

Prestone Blue from Costco if your a member. Also, the same brand de-icer seems to be far superior than the tat from Halfords.
