Presents & Stocking Fillers: Recommended Online Shops

Could you post when your parcel comes?

There are forums on that site where people discuss the duties. Apparently, they sometimes have to. But, not always.
I just ordered £33 worth of stuff. I got:
A 2GB MP4 player
A USB port thingy for your car cigarette lighter
A pocket watch/compass (stocking stuffer for husband)
A UK wall socket power converter thingamajig
A wireless entry alarm (another stocking stuffer)
An emergency roadside flashing strobe light
Many of the items have user reviews, but I ended up buying an MP4 player that didn't. It was being offered with a free upgrade to the faster shipping option, so I thought I'd give it a whirl. It was £24! Woo-hoo!

I've ordered some stocking fillers from deal extreme - about $30 worth. I'll post when the parcel arrives0

- Website: http://www.netpricedirect.co.uk/
- Postage Costs?: £3.95 - no matter how much you buy.
- What do they sell?: Stocking fillers, toys, crafts, presents, stationary etc.
- Do they accept discount codes?: They do, and there is a small box on the checkout page to put them in. I haven't found any at the moment.
- Have you used them before?: I've placed my first order and had no problems so far - aside from actually stopping buying things
So much I wanted for myself as well as buying presents.

Apparently, Deal Extreme has been having a lot of problems recently. There is a sudden spike in "WHERE IS MY ORDER?!" posts on their forums.

The website is easy to use and you can shop by price. - Do they accept discount codes?: It mentions offer codes and promotional voucher though I have not ever got one yet
- Have you used them before?: Yes, it came quickly and without any problems. They also do not use Royal Mail so are strike-resistant. Goods purchased from the 15th October 2007 can be returned up until the end of January 2008.

I have a discount code for small online handmade gift shop with free postage in UK to post, but as it's my shop, waiting for permission from abuse first!

Deal Extreme is based in Hong Kong, but the prices quoted are in US Dollars. I have ordered from them no problem, they mark the packages as something of low value regardless of what you have ordered, so you shouldn't get stung by customs.0

This is a great shop for buying for that difficult 13+ age range. More for girls than boys but I have bought their gift boxes for my nephews. They do great stocking filler smellies which are really popular with teens because their stuff is so different to the usual but it's one of those things where the postage pushes up the cost and I've never seen a voucher for them. They do have stores though and it's a treat ust to go in and browse. http://www.lush.co.uk/products/Butterball_2040.aspx My favourite soap....17 Cherrytree Lane (where Mary Poppins lived lol).

Don't forget though Hayles that Lush will often include a free sample in the bag - woo hoo.0
