Champagne Lifestyle on a Lemonade Budget.

They tend to have bigger discounts and discount really quickly too. So, clothes that were full price a few weeks ago are now reduced. I have a dress for £40 that was £140 and a great pair of trousers that were £115 and now £55. They aren't dirt cheap even at sale price but the quality is excellent so I am pleased.
What store is that?:A0 -
LL The Lakeland Remoska is a brilliant bit of kit. I have one which I use in my motorhome. I have the standard one due to space availability but I would have liked the large one.
I can do a small roast in the standard sized one but something like chicken pieces or chops work better. I haven't got the rack at the moment but my DD is getting one for me for Christmas which means I can do the meat on the rack and the potatoes in the base (at least that's what I'm hoping).
There is a cheap imitation available but can't remember the name off hand and haven't got any personal experience of it but reviews seem to be good. If I can find the details I'll post them later.

Lessonlearned - many thanks for your reply, I am the opposite of Eyeore in that I always try to see the positive in most situations but I couldn’t think of a username when I joined MSE and I don’t know how to change it!. Enjoy your Hygge evening
Humpty - I hope you are not too bruised, I have a friend who this effects too and her poor arm always looks dreadful!2019, move forward with positivity! I am the opposite of Eyeore :rotfl:0 -
Thanks Eyeore. I'm hopeful as someone suggested I try Bromelain, it is a pineapple enzyme and is supposed to prevent/help heal bruises. So I bought a bottle and took 3 yesterday, one this morning and one at lunch time and at the moment I have a tiny bruise. I'll know better tomorrow but I'm definitely hopeful.0

Good evening everyone,
Not many champagne moments since the beginning of the week thanks to a Meneire's flare up.:( Glad though it's passing and finding out even when unsteady I can manage the stove just fine.:)
Definitely channeling the "hygge" by it's cosy glow.
Smile for today was a row of young starlings waiting for me to fill the feeders - it's a cold one so glad to oblige:D0 -
Ooh Caronc, nasty. Get well soon.
Currently sat in bed, with my early morning coffee. No need to get up, scrape the ice off the car and brave the heavy early morning traffic. I can wait for the streets to be aired before I sally forth. I have the luxury of time.
Before I get cracking I'm Going to give myself a spa experience this morning. Some yoga exercises, followed by A deep cleansing facial and a nice soak in a magnesium salt bath, leisurely brunch and then a bit of shopping.

Lessonlearned, that sounds really luxurious!
It's my birthday today, and dd1 gave me a nice bracelet, dd2 gave me a specialty tea, husband has promised me a weekend away (probably to Paris), and my parents will give me a bottle of something nicely smelling. We went looking/smelling yesterday, but couldn't find one that I like (small village), so I will look again when we spend the christmas week with them in their large hometown. It's all stuff that does not require dusting and looking after, hurray!Are you wombling, too, in '22? € 58,96 = £ 52.09Wombling in Restrictive Times (2021) € 2.138,82 = £ 1,813.15Wombabeluba 2020! € 453,22 = £ 403.842019's wi-wa-wombles € 2.244,20 = £ 1,909.46Wombling to wealth 2018 € 972,97 = £ 879.54Still a womble 2017 #25 € 7.116,68 = £ 6,309.50Wombling Free 2016 #2 € 3.484,31 = £ 3,104.590 -
Happy birthday Siebrie hope you have a lovely day.
I'm happy with my bruise from the blood test, tiny and not very dark. Not sure if it is the Bromelain or the excellent phlebotomist but probably a mixture of the two. I will certainly use it as I have plenty left and it is worth a try.
I'm off to the library, I've lost my ticket so that is £1.50 wasted but I do get great value from the library.0 -
Happy Birthday Siebre....have a lovely day.
I Like your idea of presents that don't need dusting. Especially Paris. wow!!!
Next time my sons ask me what I want that will be my answer.. Actually I'm in the process of ditching ornaments, only keeping the real treasures, less is more and all that.
Brilliant sunshine and surprisingly warm now that the early morning frost has thawed. Off out in a bit.
Have a great day.0 -
