Wednesday your hobby box is such a good idea. Have you got somewhere to do your puzzle? They can take up a lot of space. If not, maybe get a roll up mat.
Helen as you may know from the other thread, I have just painted the window frames in my terrace and I don’t blame you for getting someone to do it.M5 -

Well the cheeky monkey probably has both......a sprawling country estate and a smart London town house. 😂🤣
Wednesday, Ooh, I really miss doing a jigsaw - don't think I've done one since DS was little (and he's 30 now, lol!) - think I might get a couple for the winter evenings
This morning I've been sorting through boxes looking for some botanical prints as I decided the newly painted gifted cabinets are a bit plain and in need of something to lift them. I remembered DH picked up a pile of botanical prints (cut out of a book, no doubt) at a car boot sale a couple of years back.
We have approximately 14 IKEA boxes that used to be on shelving in the office at our last house and I knew they were in one of these. Typically, once I'd got past the mountains of cardboard boxes/large plastic crates currently filling the guest bedroom, these were in the twelfth one I searched, buried right at the bottom!
Now I've found them I'm not even certain I want to use them.....but I'm going to spend a leisurely afternoon playing with those and a few other ideasMortgage-free for fourteen years!

My Champagne moments yesterday were all about celebrating my Grandson's 21st birthday. We all had so much fun together7

Well everyone, after a couple of days being on tenterhooks I had a call from the agent today to say my offer had been turned down. The vendor was going with someone who isn't in a chain - I can't say I blame her, seems like the easiest route. They did say if anything happened they'd get in touch, but I'm moving on and making appointments to view others that have just come on the market. Oh and my buyer who was so quick to make an offer on Saturday seems to have gone AWOL...the agent has left a few messages for him, to see if he will raise his offer and not heard back. Puzzles me why people do that sort of thing? Anyway, had another viewing tonight and got two more booked in for Saturday - no pressure now that I don't have anything I'm offering on.
Wednesday - you have reminded me I have a mini trampoline. I really really (really!) need to do some exercise and eat more healthily. I might just get it out for tomorrow (I am exhausted tonight - giving my son a lift to golf then I think I'm going to bed!). All this cleaning and tidying is wearing me out

Champagne moments.....
In my city centre, just had my hair cut. Sat outside one of my favourite cafes, enjoying the sun, sipping my flat white and listening to the old boy playing the piano.Fabulous dahhhhlings.9 -
Hello my lovely friends
Well I am home now. So time for a proper post. I have had the most fabulous morning, hair cut, a coffee out and then a mooch round the shops. Found some bits and bobs in the chazzers. Two sweaters, two tops, a dress and all for just £7. Also picked up a nice linen shirt and some knickers from Primark. So that's me all shopped out for now.....unless of course I just stumble upon some amazing bargains. 😉. It was the first time I had ventured out into the city centre since about February. I really enjoyed it.Mrs S. sorry to hear your offer is refused. But you know what they say "if it's for you it won't go by you". Perhaps there's something even nicer out there with your name on it. Finding your perfect house is a bit like finding your perfect prince.......you have to kiss a lot of frogs.....😉SpeakIng of frogs.....A guy today was giving me the eye. Now I don't profess to have movie star looks but I do make an effort. This guy had moobs, a gut hanging over his dad jeans, long flowing grey hair which looked like it could do with a wash......What is it with certain middle aged men that makes them think they are Gods gift to humanity and irresistible to women......🤣
sugarbaby.......looks like you had a fab party. Your GS is a lucky boy.Very warm here......rather sultry and humid.8 -
What a pita about your purchase/sale mrs_s.....but by the sound of it you'll soon get more offers and I'm sure you'll find an even better property to buy!
Super pics, sugarbabyLovely that your family were able to come together to celebrate your GS's 21st!
LL, looks/sounds as though you had a fab foray back into the world of shopping/pampering
We've not ventured into the town centre proper yet - only our little market town and a couple of out of town shopping destinations. Of course it's different here in Wales with no requirement to wear masks in the shops (yet), although I made a couple (using vintage Liberty fabrics) so I'm ready although I'm not at all keen on the idea.
I've been working on the cabinets again today - I almost decided to change the colour, but instead have cracked on with the decoupage idea, having spent yesterday afternoon painstakingly cutting around approximately sixteen botanical prints.
I then took the prints and my tiny pointy scissors to bed where I did a few more, much to DH's bemusement, but I couldn't stop myself! It's something I find incredibly therapeutic and haven't done for many years (being a bit of a glutton for punishment, I once decorated a whole hallway, print room style with well in excess of 100 swags I'd photocopied, lol!).....
Gorgeous day, so will try out the new alfresco dining area this evening. No pics yet so here's one of my sunny Telekias......Mortgage-free for fourteen years!
