Haha they'd be in for a rude awakening then :rotfl:"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Well the good news is that every quarter I think it is Tesco will send you Clubcard vouchers and Clubcard vouchers can be converted into Clubcard Boost Vouchers. One of the deals is you can get 3 x the value of your Tesco Clubcard vouchers in the Denby store. You have to pay for postage but after that there is a huge range of beautiful tableware, etc on offer.MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

It's been such a miserable day here, dark and gloomy with wind and rain thrown in for good measure. The only bright point of the day was the bin men coming and taking all the rubbish. Where would we be without them?0

Hello. Everyone. Just approaching Las Palmas on Gran Canaria. Sea like a millpond. Glorious sunshine
I really feel like I’m living a champagne lifestyle at the moment. I’ll
Definitely travel with this company again. For a bargain last minute price there is nothing bargain basement about this ship. It’s just had a refit apparently and it is very smart and very comfortable. I have a huge very comfortqble cabin - inside But I dont mind that. Food is fantastic. Great entertainment and a fabulous itinerary of ports. Worth every penny.
I have slept like a baby and have shaken off my lurgy. I feel so much better. It’s funny but you don’t realise sometimes just how tired and run down you feel until you finally take a step back and rest.
Had a text from the plumber all going well. Started tiling.
Hope you are all well and managing to enjoy a few champagne moments each day.0 -

I don't drink alcohol but all the kids are coming home at Christmas so thought if I get a dozen bottles it will keep them off the streets:D So there I am standing at the checkout with a few bits and 12 bottles of wine when an old chap decides to have a chat with me about wine/spirits and I had to confess that I know nothing about it as I don't drink, "Oh yeah" he said with a knowing wink looking at my trolley. I said, "No there not for me." and again he said, "Oh yeah" and laughed. So I think I now have a reputation as a secret drinker as the guy on the checkout and the other people in the queue were all giving me a knowing look.
Heaven knows what I've bought but with 12 different bottles some of it should be to their taste.
Last week I bought three boxes of beers from Asda, it was 3 for £21 and buying them each they were £9 or £10 each.
Don't know if I'll bother with food, just let them all drink to their hearts' content.
That's so funny. They probably thought you were an alcoholic in denial.
Anyway, good deal on the beer. I might look at that one myself. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

Glad you are having a lovely holiday LL:)
My moment for today was logs being delivered as my stove goes in next week. A rather nice, though practical ash bucket came too:).
"Pay day" for me today and budgets have been balanced, credit card fully paid and my savings pot for ad hoc stuff has more than enough in it to cover my Christmas spends. I'll take some time in the New Year to re do my budgets now I have a better idea of how realistic or otherwise the amounts I set for each "pot" have been. For a bit of a "guesstimate" though it's not been far off but I have some different things to factor in next year like my sisters 50th and periodic purchase of fuel for the stove.
