No worries. Wouldnt it be nice if we could change our lives in a week.....:rotfl: alas Miracles take a little longer. Lol.

Motoring on with the painting. I love the colour. Only problem is that paint fumes make me feel horribly queasy so I have to have lots of snacks and breaks to combat the nausea. Not good for losing weight but I find that more or less constant grazing is about the only thing that helps. Worse than being pregnant. Hopefully the sheer physicality of it will burn off plenty of calories.

So just sitting here my my 3rd coffee of the day (naughty but I need the caffeine) and a kit kat.

I've got the patio doors wide open and a bowl of sliced lemons on the go.. So far so good, don't feel too bad, just a headache at the moment but I will definitely have a paint free day tomorrow.

Back to books. I have also ordered the £1 a day one. Both should arrive soon.

Grunnie. Thanks for the link to Shelley's website. Looks good. I do dip into a few blogs from time to time. There are some very knowledgeable people writing nowadays. The younger generation are so lucky to have all this wonderful information at their finger tips, a world of knowledge, wisdom and shared experience just a few clicks away.

It would have been nice to have acquired any wisdom I might have the easy way instead of learning everything the hard way. ;)
  • It's the 26th anniversary of when I first met my husband today.:)

We are having a frugal celebration of a meal at home and watching a film we downloaded for free. I also told him not to bother getting a card for me as it seemed like a waste of time. I didn't get him one either.

I wanted to get us both electric toothbrushes. I wrote it down in my diary this morning and then I got an email from Superdrug saying if I spend £50 I get 500 points so I looked on there and they had reasonably priced Oral B toothbrushes on there! Very serendipitous!

I bought two and got two lots of free toothpaste. I also got a few other toiletry bits that were on offer and a new nail varnish.:T

LL the smell of paint makes me I'll too, but if you put half an onion in the room, it's supposed to absorb the smell x

Wow!! You've got staying power. ;).

    The November challenge begins.......

I have decided to have a 4 day weekend......no diy. I feel like my arm has been welded to a paintbrush this last few days so time for a little break. Recharge my batteries and have a bit of fun.

Meeting my new friend today and then some food shopping.....a nice easy day.

    Good morning,

Having 5 minutes peace while DH goes into town on an errand. :)

No big champagne moment yesterday. Just a really nice evening at Craft Club with my friend. Crochet and natter, people watching and vegan cake!

I am crocheting some small Christmas wreaths and making some twiddle mits for a student at school.

    have a lovely day :)
  • I had a lovely time yesterday. The food was delicious and the film was very good. It was a horror but it was more funny in places. It was called Happy Death Day 2 if anyone has heard of it.

The Asda vegan chocolate cupcakes were gorgeous. OMG I ate a cupcake at a posh vegan bakery in London recently and I think these budget Asda cupcakes are much better!:T

My champagne moments today are getting my new electric toothbrushes delivered. We are getting a new toastie maker as well as the last one broke so I shall be having a hot toastie later.:)

I have a new book to read as well so I will curl up in my chair with a hot water bottle and a hot drink.

  • I think this counts as Champagne moment.

Decided to do 'Stay sober for October'. I did it.

Decided to NOT worry about possible weight gain as I have eaten more Custard Creams in the month than I have in the last 3 years. Who knew I liked them so much....

Weighed myself this morning and have lost SIX pounds !

Tiggy......my pooch...is getting weighed today...I think it has been the longer walks that I have given her that has helped me. Hopefully it is good news for her as well.

  • Sorry. Reasons why it's Champagne.....

The longer walks turned 'job to be done' into 'where can we explore today'....

I really watched my area turn golden, red,....just beautiful. Tiggy got to wear her bright pink coat and she had many admirers and lots of attention. As a result I had loads of chats with people and often came home with a warm fuzzy feeling. And to top it all I have raised money for charity, have more energy and found this thread.

    All for free.

    Good Morning Folks,

A couple of champagne moments yesterday.......

I did some proper cooking.....made Laksa chicken for lunch, Mediterranean Chicken Tray Bake for tea and a Coq au Vin in the slow cooker for tonight. A real pleasure to have the time to cook from scratch. :)

We went to a firework display in a local park with some young friends. The rain held off until the end :j I love fireworks, and it is always good value, but sadly, Year by Year the display has not been as good.

Messages from DD. She has taken a contract for a month......to join the circus :rotfl:

    Have a lovely day :)
