Where are you going, Candy? I've forgotten.

I'm happy to say that 20% offers on email Sparks arrived today: jumpers, bras and trousers.

I'll get some fine cords and a cardie I've already fancied. Probably go on Monday and have wine, if not champagne, in Carluccio's thanks to a free wine email. :)

    Hi everyone......

Candy....how did the fire go...hope you got it sorted. I'm another one who is "nesh". Local dialect for always cold. Even more so now I have lost weight. :rotfl: Nah.....you can never have enough nice frocks, especially when they are preloved bargains.

I'm currently wearing a bright pink polo necked sweater, £1 from the chazzer, so cosy and nice and cheerful on such a horrid dark grey wet miserable day. Nearly didn't buy it because it is so "pink" :rotfl: but at £1 I thought I'd give it a try. I love it. I have to confess to really disliking dark dismal colours now......I have decided I'm going to go through my wardrobe and get rid of the nondescript browns and greys. Just too depressing. :rotfl:

Speaking of colours, B@Q have their 3 for 2 offer on all paints. Did a stock up this morning and saved myself £69. So plenty of paint to keep me busy over the winter. I would like to get the bulk of it done by Easter if I can. I chose mainly neutrals for the emulsion, then I can go mad with artworks, soft furnishings and accessories. I might add the odd deep coloured feature wall at some point.

Had rather an abortive champagne moment the other day. Had lunch with a friend, the intention being to eat and then go shopping. Within an hour of eating I began to feel unwell. I had to go home and spent a couple of hours in the bathroom......

Thankfully I'm ok now but it was nasty. :o

Had a mooch round Tu but didn't buy anything for myself but bought a really fab fur lined knitted Icelandic style jacket for my grandson. Super cosy.

Have a great weekend .....I am off to an early Halloween themed tea party tomorrow.

Oh, Goa and sun ! Lovely, candy.

LL, I had to smile at your 'too pink' comment. Since I stopped colouring my hair, it's much brighter silver than the faded light brown and pink really suits it.

I seem to have acquired a number of pink garments. I've never considered myself a pink person, or kitten calendar woman. :)

:rotfl: I never ever ever wore pink. But now my hair is white I have found it does actually suit me. Funny how we change. I definitely need a kitty. My son took "ours" - his cat really but I was very fond of it. It was a sweet cuddly funny little thing.

Love the sound of your chesterfield sofa. My parents had one, so comfy.

Horrid night, really windy. I'm glad I've got rid of the window shutters, they used to really rattle in the wind and keep me awake. But I'm super cosy with my heated sofa throw and candles. :D.
