My Champagne moments yesterday were just having the time and the freedom to do nothing except relax and watch lots of television programmes that I had recorded.
I had a rare day when there was no laundry that needed doing. :cool:0 -

Pleased to say that some of my champagne moments this week have been weight loss related......stepping on the scales seeing those numbers come down, seeing my blood sugar levels improve, being able to wear some of my smaller clothes, and being able to donate a bag of larger clothes to the charity shop.
So gratifying.......;).
I have been on granny duty this week and my best champagne moments have been lots of cuddles and slobbery kisses from my 11 month old grandson. Rolling around on the floor playing, taking him walks, feeding the ducks and just generally being his abject slave. Exhausting :rotfl:
A day off granny duty today so going to chill and recharge my batteries, the sun is shining and it looks like being another lovely day.
Time with your grandson sounds like a pretty perfect "champagne moment".:D
My "moments" today were baking my first ever sourdough loaf and it's looking fab though still be sliced and after a wet morning/afternoon the sun came out and I'm not long in from the garden:)0 -
LL - I've got the Pinch of Nom book as well. Have used a couple of recipes from it so far. I actually prefer their website to the book and have made several things from it.

I am jubilant that I finally lost another 2 pounds.:j
I just had a gorgeous bath and it's nice and sunny here today.
I am also happy that my husband is taking my dog to the vet instead of me as she struggles like crazy when she has to go.:rotfl:Have sold a couple of things on Shpock today, n am collecting yet another Maxi dress tomoz .Holiday wardrobe's looking fab already
I love maxi dresses too.:)0 -
My Champagne moments yesterday was receiving a letter from Lambeth Benefits with regards to my Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support which was all good news. :j:D
I was underpaid £210. 98 of Housing Benefit since 2nd January 2019 which will be added to my next Housing Benefit payment in a few days :T
I was underpaid £384.56 of Council Tax Support for 2019/2020. This money is siting in my Council Tax account and I can claim a refund when I want to :T
I will receive full Housing Benefit from 2nd January 2019 so I no longer have to pay £15 a week of my rent myself :j:D
There are no longer any deductions in my Council Tax Support because my 26 year old daughter lives with me :j:D
There was a real Champagne moment at the realisation that there is only 14 days before I fly out to Jamaica with my sister H and my sister R and the excitement is really building. I am finally going on my 1st ever holiday as an adult and it is amazing that I have been able to afford it at last despite living on Benefits0 -
My Champagne moment yesterday was going to see the film Greta with my Odeon Limitless card.
It is a psychological thriller and I thought the 2 leading women were very good. I was drawn into the tension and it sent chills down my spine. I would give this film 9/100 -
Good morning everyone......
Hope you are well, healthy and happy and enjoying lots of champagne moments. How was your bank holiday.
I had a nice relaxing time, catching up with family, some TV programmes I wanted to watch and just generally "chillin". Yeah, I'm down with the kids.....:rotfl:
I have been on granny duty quite a bit this week, exhausting but I love it.:D. Circumstances dictate that I shall be quite busy helping with childcare for the next few weeks so house renovations are on hold for now. No worries, time enough.
Pleased to say that the weight loss is going really well. Since the weather here is so awful today I'm going to have an at home day, some pampering, some cooking and just pottering about. Going to go through my wardrobe and check out my clothes, see what now fits and what I can dispose of. It's such a lovely feeling being able to get into my nice things that I haven't been able to wear for years.
BTW. I plucked up courage and joined a dating website....:rotfl::rotfl: so not me but I thought what the heck give it a whirl.
Who knows what fun might lie in store, how many champagne moments might ensue.;). or then again it could be a total waste of effort. Only time will tell.

I am planning my next concert on the 1st June. We are going to see Muse.
I am looking for a veg friendly restaurant near to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
I might even splash out and book a hotel for the night so we don't have to travel back home afterwards. Our vet is looking after our dogs so we can have a much needed break together.:T2025 GOALS
