Not told (re: Motobility payments)

Hi all, just a quick update.

I have had an email from Motability and it seems they expect me to pay £717 in back pay.

I have published the email on a new thread as I feel it is important that people have access to this information, especially as they admit that this information is not available on their website.

Of course I will pay this money back to them, but I just feel mislead by both the DWP and a Motability that neither pointed this out to me ( they insist it WAS in my letter but I cannot see it there ) and I assumed this was included in the transition scheme.

Thanks again everyone for helping me to finally get clarity in this and I hope it helps others to choose whether to hold onto their car and keep all mobility payments separately, and pay the outstanding monies owing if your appeal is successful or to hand the car back whilst waiting for the appeal hearing and start over again from scratch if successful.

I don’t know if anyone would agree with me but the successful appeal and now debt to Motobility is bitter sweet considering Motability would have paid ME had my appeal been unsuccessful.
However I do appreciate that I had the car when it could very easily have been taken away from me, so I will pay the arrears as requested, but ask that they make this information transparent so no one else is left in this confusion in future.
