Phones - all on contracts these days.

Not the contracts that's the issue. More the cost. A work colleague of mine spends £46 per month on his Apple IPhone.

On another note with some rules changing around how credit providers engage those who only make the minimum payment on their credit card over a sustained period. I was interested in hearing your thoughts! Are you aware of them? Are they a good thing? Do they go far enough? or is it a missed opportunity?

  • Is this were they randomly contact you asking if you're in financial trouble?

I had M&S do this, the letter read like they had concerns about my account. When I spoke to them they said they didn't that they were just being a responsible lender.

Good thing imo so long as the person feels able to open up and say they're having trouble, but I'd be more interested in what steps the banks will take if someone is in trouble.

We pay min payment as it's 0% and I intend on shifting to another 0% when I need to.
