Getting out of a new contract - Need help!
Hi,
I've just got a new phone from the carphone warehouse on Sunday and took out a new contract with a new network (I was originally with orange, new contract is with O2).
I've just had a call from orange offering me a better deal if I stay with them but the problem is I remember the man at CPW saying that I can't cancel my contract but if I didn't like the phone I could exchange that. Is this right?
I assumed that mobile phone operators have 14 day cancellation policy so if I changed my mind within 14 days I could cancel the contract and return the phone.
I would like to get out of the O2 contract as orange have offered me a better deal but I'm now worried that I can't leave them.
Any ideas???

If you bought this in store, then you are bound by the contract.
If it's mail order then you can cancel under the DSR.0 -
b***er!
Thought it might be the case. And there is absolutley no way I can get out of it?!0 -
there are many ways to get out of it still, the majority include paying 12x your monthly line rental though. You could always sell the new handset to offset a fair portion of that cost0
