Good evening chums nice afternoon at History as usual and a delicious HM cake and cuppa as well
Managed to polish off all the ironing this morning as well as the hoovering so the weekend is free and tomorrow morning I shall do a bit of baking then feet up until I go to eldest DDs for dinner around 6.00p.m.
Forecast is grotty for tonight so as soon as either Dd or son-in-law gets here I am off to get tucked up indoors in the warm.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and keeps warm and dry if possible
Speky have a great weekend and good luck with your new life in Mancland greatcity and smashing people and Bury Market is amazing

Gers, I well remember when it became apparent that my dear mum's condition moved to palliative care and like you, I was the one on the spot. Please be kind to yourself over the coming weeks and months, glad to hear you've gone back to bed and resting up with Olbas oil and tissues to hand.
Well the technology is utterly a-maazing these days and it was an emotional moment when I realised the amount of gain (increase in ability to hear) with the demo aids. I'd done my homework and knew that a newer model has just been released and said I will be happy to wait until it can be provided, which should be later this month. Best feature is in ear receivers, no tubes, just a barely noticeable wire leading to very small behind the ear aids, metallic finish, no ugly shiny flesh coloured plastic, hurrah, and no hurty ear moulds, hallelujah! I really didn't want to hand the demo aids back as my world returned to being very quiet again. But not for long!
I'm already eyeing up Bluetooth enabled CD radio players... Having wireless sound direct to the aids will be transformative. Like the difference between black and white TV and colour. I think overall I'll be a lot happier0 -
Gers sorry to hear about your DM. I hope you are feeling a bit better and it was just the extra travel that set you back. Be kind to yourself.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0

I am so sorry for your loss.
Gers
Take care of yourself and get better soon and I am sorry about your Mum's news.
Still feel a bit wobbly so had an early night last night and a decent sleep which helped. Stayed home and warm and dry today and did some cooking and baking. I did not have porridge oats so could not make proper twinks but substituted seeds and nuts and ended up with over two dozen cookies which are now in the freezer. I also made beef casserole and chicken soup so had a productive day.
Middle dd is coming over for a bite to eat tomorrow around five and then going out to a friend's birthday party and then staying overnight so looking forward to that. I will phone older DD tomorrow and see whether she prefers me to pop in to York tomorrow or Sunday for a coffee and a catch up.

Good luck with the new job and the move.
