You could change the review date if you'd like to, it would mean cancelling the Direct Debit and setting it up again and might be more [FONT=&quot]hassle [/FONT] than it's worth, but just wanted to let you know your options.

I would just keep my eye on popping some regular reads on and the Direct Debit manager.


The [FONT=&quot]Christmas[/FONT] lights do sound lovely though, I love putting the tree up, although my 8 year old son does it first, then I re-do it once he's in bed :rotfl:

Nelski - the new boots sound gorgeous. I'm another with 'clumsy feet' (size 9 EEE fitting - plus still struggling with some degree of leg/foot swelling from op back in June) so have trouble finding footwear to look good. Will have to resort to my hiking boots if necessary this winter !
bellabella - hope you manage to find a solution to your hair problem. Would a shorter style perhaps help to get your hair to look 'fuller'.
Gers - sorry to hear about your DM being taken ill yesterday and that horrendous drive to Glasgow and back. Hope all goes well for her with whatever treatment they come up with. ((((Hugs)))) to you both.

Morning everyone,

A very late check in for due to a change in morning routine. Today is my last day for current employer and some of us caught up for a coffee early this morning in Tim Hortons. This was only do-able because I've not taken the car as tonight is my leaving do. I don't like the fuss but it is nice to see to everyone in a more relaxed environment. It's been a great 2 years and I've came on leaps and bounds in my career during the time due to being thrown in the deep end I suppose.

Night out tonight means I'll get the last train home at circa 11.30. Tomorrow morning is brunch at 10.30 with my cousins, then nip back to the office and collect my things for the final time before heading home, packing and getting ready for another night out with my friends from home.

Sunday I leave for Manchester around noon to check in to my hotel and get ready for my first week in my new job. It's all go!

Gers - Sorry to hear the news about your DM. You both sound so strong over something which can't have been easy. Whilst I'm in Glasgow for a couple more days, let me know if there's anything I can do.

Afternoon all.

Such touching messages from folk are lovely, and thanks for the really kind offer Speky. :T All is under control! Hope you have a great evening.

I dragged myself out early for the haircut, there's a large Boots across the road so I went in there next and swept up assorted potions and tablets along with more paper hankies. Next stop was the supermarket for a few things for DM. Now I'm back in bed!

Before yesterday I was recovering well so this is just a short setback. As for DM, it'll (hopefully) be a long game as well as the end game. It'll not be tomorrow or even next month, more a gradual decline which will be unresponsive to intervention.

On a brighter note the forecasted dreadful weather hasn't reached Glasgow yet though I think it's bouncing my place. I'm snug and warm, stinking of Olbas Oil and making the most of a lie down.

Sorry to read about nmlcr's relative. Condolences to the family.

Thinking about TA, Poppy, Holly and all the other poorlies -taff too. Hugs to all who want one!

I'm going to go and sew a few more squares for my quilt in a while,I've got the house to myself,DS1 has gone to a funeral,his mates younger brother who was found dead a couple of weeks ago,so sad. He suddenly remembered he hadnt got a card so I offered to make one,then thought I might as well do a few while all the stuff was out ,so need to finish putting that away before I sew .


There is beef in red wine for tea,in the sc. to make it easier - DS2 might be a bit late as he has got DGS parents evening after school and then has to pick DGD up.Not sure when DS1 will be back,the funeral isnt in our town.

Hi all, sorry for the latish post.
Yesterday went quite well, but I don't know who we took to the hospital because Dad was Prince Charming to all and sundry. We now have to see the consultant next Wednesday for the results.
Today we, in our infinite wisdom, decided to take apart DD's old bed. Easy Peasy ........ fat chance of that ! It has taken us most of the day to dismantle the gubbins ( it was an electric adjustable bed and weighed a ton ) and do a tip trip :eek:. Mr Fix It needed to keep all the electrics too, but they are still bagged up in the bedroom waiting to be suitably re-homed :rotfl:.
The meter reader called round too so we should have our bills ( dual fuel ) in a week or so.
This afternoon DD called in for a coffee on her way to the Drs surgery. We will speak later as to how she got on.
Tea tonight will be chicken portions and chips.
NMLC my sincere condolences to you and the family.
Gers I am really sorry to read of your DM's diagnosis. Please take care of yourself too and I hope you get rid of the cough soon.

Aarrgghh - we've had this very convo with E-on. Blummin nuisance - we asked them to leave the credit there and leave the direct debit alone, but they'd have none of it.:( Problem is our review date being October. If it was down to me, I'd take the steps Helena mentioned to change it to March, but the damn account's in Mr Wolf's name, and he cba to cancel and re-do the Direct Debit, so I just have to juggle numbers to account for it.

Oh well, at least they can't force a smart meter on us (like we thought was going to be the case at one point). We don't want one, and that's an end of it.;)

Hi. Later posting from me I haven been working today and now have my feet up. Not a lot needs doing we are having Chinese for tea and dh will pick it up when he finishes work. Most of the washing is done as school today was non uniform so I washed it all on Thursday night .
Tomorrow I am having a much needed haircut not sure what else we have planned for the weekend shopping needed but I would like to use up more off the stuff that’s in the freezer
