  • Tru and Dumpling,, is either of you (or family) watching Riverdale on Netflix?
I am enjoying the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (I am a bit old for these type of programmes I know!) and wondered if Riverdale might float my boat as well.

    Almost afternoon from me.

It’s already been an unexpectedly busy day for me. Long story short...I got a call from DM’s Dr last night to say that she was admitting DM to the hospital this morning. :( It appears that her heart rate is once again out of control and needs stronger medical intervention that the GP can offer.

I was still in bed, had taken a dose of Night Nurse and there was a gale blowing. A friend was with DM so I slid under my duvet and succumbed to the NN. Up at 6am, on the road by 7am and arrived here in Glasgow just in time to miss DM and the ambulance. I’m totally whacked, coughing more than ever and ready for a sleep. Luckily DM has texted me to say ‘take your time’. She’s still in acute receiving waiting to be seen and the ‘distributed’ so is quite happy for me to stay here until then. I’m all of a quiver!

Snoozer - it’s lovely to hear of Laura being so stoical and wanting to help others.

Still thinking of TA, Poppy, Holly and CHS.

Sending a virtual hug to Gers, that's a road that you need to concentrate on at the best of times, very draining with the lurgy. Hurrah for mobile phones so you know how your Mum is, and which ward she'll be sent to.

Had lunch, and going to knit for a while before going for a swim.

    Enjoy the afternoon folks.

It’s nearly 100 miles, country miles so it takes ages. Only a dual carriageway for the final 20 odd miles. Today I was behind four loaded log wagons - no chance of passing for most of the way.

DM is still in acute admitting. I’m heading to the hospital shortly. Seems she may be sent home yet - time will tell.
  • Gers take care of yourself. That is a horrible journey at the best of times. I hope by now a decision has been made one way or the other.

Thanks everyone, we saw Laura and Brian this afternoon and she is doing ok and so is Brian. He passed his driving test this afternoon (at the grand age of 40) so a bit of good news, even though he'd convinced himself that nothing would go right this week. As he said he would have swapped the pass certificate a million times over for the baby. They'll have their ups and downs and it will take time (I too know from experience nmlc) but they are strong and have a lot of family support.
