    Morning everyone,

Dry, bright but bbbrr chilly here, the heating has kicked in.

I will be off soon to do a food shop ( DSS is eating us out of house etc ) and then over to the yard to see the lovely Lu, think I will give her a lunge and then have a little walk around the fields. I had my physio on Monday and it made my knee very sore but I was given some different exercises which hopefully will help.
My condolences to Snoozer and her family, much kudos to your Laura for agreeing to take part in the study.

    Take care folks x

Good morning everyone, and hugs to our poorlies. I hope you're beginning to feel there will be an end to the lurgy, Gers.

I was up early for me solving a storage issue. Sometimes it's easier just to get going and see how to work things out. This is a one bedroom flat with limited storage, so fitting everything in involved a lot of thinning out of possessions and some creative ideas about where to keep the necessities. A work in progress, I've been here just over 5 months and still getting a feel for my new way of life.

Scrabble this morning, then more knitting. The balls in the kit only weigh 15 grammes each, so the colours change frequently which keeps it interesting.

I'm aiming for a swim late afternoon, it's definitely helping my general health and wellbeing. It's true, that you're much more likely to do exercise that you enjoy. I dislike the gym, and told the nice young man who showed me round the torture rooms, that I'd never be using them and was only there to get wet :)

Hoping you have the best day possible. xxx

    Morning all

Slightly later for me today as I am off work the rest of the week :j.

DD and I are off to Brighton this morning for a day of shopping a nice lunch out possibly with wine :D then a bit more shopping, we have then booked into a little boutique hotel for the night and have booked dinner in a very old but popular tapas place for tonight :Tthere will be more wine and maybe cocktails tonight.

We do this every year just before Xmas have a night away, our reason is to 'do' our Christmas shopping but in reality its just a jolly with a bit of shopping thrown in :D

OH will fend for himself tonight I suspect curry or fish and chips will be involved :rotfl:

    Have good days all xx

    Morning :)

Well the new mattress seems to have weaved a bit of magic and on and off I managed nearly 8 hours last night still did the obligatory worry wake ups but managed to ignore them and curl up again. :j

snoozer what a great attitude from Laura I hope she is pregnant again very soon

tru enjoy your me time weekend it sounds like heaven

lainey  nice to see you posting

scarlett ribbons I have friends in Oz and I use Moonpig for cards. They have an oz branch so its printed and sent the next day and even better the postage is cheaper than it would be to send a card to someone in the UK. The royal mail really do rip us off

So hoping to hear news today about Holly getting home safe Hopefully she will be back posting in the next few days and I can retire my roving reporter role :) Also hoping they have helped her sleep issues and we dont see posts at 1am again :(

Busy work day today...I did a little bit of sales yesterday and managed to pretty much fill next week bar mum day so now have lots of prep to do. All good as I need to fill the coffers again after the mad week with the girls.

Cooked a pack of sausages with HM bbq sauce last night and had a couple with mash and peas for dinner...so good :) it will be that again tonight and I doubt much will hit the freezer as was the plan.

Anyway hugs to all as always and enjoy your days

snoozer I'm so sorry to hear your news, thinking of you all xx

Cake for you Mrs Salad Dodger :bdaycake: I didn't realise it was your birthday, sorry it's late :D

Eon have just refunded me over £200 because I'm in credit, but at the same time put my DD up by £13 per month  Isn't the point to spread the cost over the year, it builds up in summer so you're covered during the winter when you use more?

Mr tru is going away for the weekend :j He booked it so long ago that I'd forgotten about it. He'll be gone from mid-morning tomorrow til teatime on sunday. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it :D My housework, which I usually do a bit at a time, will all be done today so I can have the weekend off. I recorded a couple of films a while ago so I'll be watching them. And my series on Netflix. I have lots of yarn, three new books and chocolate. Scamp is very considerate and sleeps in the afternoons so I'm really going to enjoy this :D

Morning tru and all on the thread :)

Hope you don't mind me popping by to try and help a little bit with the Direct Debit.

I fully understand what you mean.

The way it works when paying by DD is to spread the cost over a full 12 months, then you'll have an annual review, anything over £5 credit at the review date will automatically be refunded.

We'll then look to the next 12 months and set the Direct Debit based on what we think you'll use, this is where the amount can change. This will be basaed on usage from the last 12-18 months. To make sure we keep the account as accurate as possible, let us have regular reads, or pop them on your online account.

To make sure accounts are on track, we look at arrangements every 3 months. We only make changes, though, at the mid-point and annual reviews. At the other times, we let customers know if we think there should be a change but leave it up to them to make any alterations.

You can always use the Direct Debit manager tool on the website, pop some reads in and you can adjust the payments up or down by 20%, or 5% without reads.

I fully take your point on board though.

Hope this helps a little, but if you do need some help with your account, please let me know, Malc and I are always happy to help as much as we can.

  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.

Of to get my pacemaker checked this morning and then to my quilting friend, I got some more wool for her last week.

It seems quite mild this morning, I have the heating on very low.

I made another bag yesterday and a small 'purse' to fold it into, it can be slipped into a pocket or bag. I am going to do another couple of the tree hangings and that will be it. I am not expecting massive sales at the artisan sale so should have enough for the school sale the following Friday.

I hope Holly makes it home ok and settles, at least they are arranging for the MH team are going to be keeping an eye on her for a while.

We will have tomorrows fish and chips tonight, I will do the mince and dough balls tomorrow.

  • Good morning everyone,

Snoozer - I'm so sorry to hear about Laura. And as a man, I agree with nmlc

Yesterday was a busy busy day in work, which ended in an offsite meeting in Dunfermline. Rush hour traffic meant I didn't get back to the office till 6pm to then drop off my colleague, turn around and then head home. Very frustrating.

Also was angry with myself because I forgot to take stuff out the freezer for my dinner. So i called my mum and asked if she had anything whilst I pop over. Thankfully she did, so I offloaded my frustrations whilst eating a nice homemade curry.

Long story but tonight some of my colleagues and I are heading out to have dinner and drinks with a colleague who was 'released of their duties' very suddenly last week. He was much senior than us and came as a shock but we all maintain he's being made a scapegoat. Anyway, I won't stay long as I need to start packing tonight.

Scarlet - You sound super busy and productive.
WeeMidgie - I share your frustrations. I'm sure you'll be creative and figure something out.
RR - That sounds like a lovely little trip. Enjoy 'Christmas shopping' haha!
Nelski - Glad the new mattress worked
Organza - Whilst I have FB, I have deliberately not been on it in over 3 years now. It got to a point where I saw my then girlfriend genuinely addicted and it scared me, so I abstained and feel no need to revisit.

    Morning campers
I am trying to put my positive head on today as we are taking Dad for his CT scan at the hospital. I rang him yesterday to see if he had sorted himself out ready for it, his reply "no I can't be bothered ". So today maybe somewhat challenging.
I shall jump in the shower in a minute when Mr Fix It's finished his.
    Wish me luck.
Take care and hugs to all
